Can anyone help me with information about Finnish families who migrated to Hunterdon County? I am looking for possible Finnish ancestry in one of my family branches from Hunterdon County, which is the LAKE family. in 1856, Aaron and Mary Lake had a daughter named Masala Lake. Hello, I am new to this list, having recently discovered there were some RUSSELLs in my direct ancestry, and their trail leads back to Hunterdon Co. The earliest proven one was a Mary RUSSELL who m. James COWAN, Sr., prob. in Berkeley Co. (now Jefferson Co.), VA. (We don't know the date, but their first child was b. abt 1778.)
