Sent this out to you once, but the only thing that came back was my message,
nothing from you. Don't know what happened. So nice of you to volunteer your

Sorry, I have no idea where it can be purchased other than through the
historical society.
In an earlier message which was posted I replied to a question that this
compiler had an earlier book titled something like Records of Hunterdon
County which is out-of-print. If you need more information than this,
please go search the archives for my answer to this same question a few

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this list, having just discovered that some elusive
families were in Hunterdon County. I have had a hard time with these folks...
John Peter CLOVER ( -1766/7) and his wife Catherine SHARP/SHARPENSTINE (
-aft 1785) lived in Hunterdon County, perhaps in Lebanon. I believe there
was a place called "Clover Hill": is that in Lebanon, does anyone know? They
had ten children, only three of whom were young enough to require a guardian
in 1767. I am looking for dates of birth &

GENEALOGY WEBSITE TEST BEGINS
See http://www.sltrib.com/1999/apr/04021999/utah/94889.htm
Link
The LDS Church has begun a "beta test" for its online genealogy website.
The site is found at http://www.familysearch.org and provides access to
Ancestral File records as well as an index to the library's holdings. "As
the site is tested, it will occasionally be offline. At other times access
will be slow, church officials warned."
Just found a really great website - perhaps you already know of it, but it
has a Search Forum format under individual surnames. If your surname
isn't listed, you can request that they add your surname to their forum
list. You may find a lot of listings under one surname, but you can look
thru list to see if any are working on YOUR particular one.
It's http://genforum.genealogy.com.

Does anyone know what cities or area Amwell Township encompassed in the
1810-1850's time frame? I am also interested in finding out what
churches might have been in Amwell township from about 1809-1824. My
HOFFMAN/HUFFMAN family (William, wife Katherine) were in Amwell Township
and I'm trying to figure out what Churches and cemeteries to start
looking at - I hope to find what church they were married at and
baptismal records of their children. They were likely Baptist or
Presbyterian.
Thank you!

Hi,
I am attempting to find family history as to Sarah Coleman. She married
Obadiah Evans in 1772, in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. They had
two children that I am aware of:
Rachel Evans - b March 27, 1774
John Evans - b October 6, 1778, d November 21, 1848, m Elizabeth
Farrow.
Any information would be deeply appreciated.

wondering if anyone could give me some insight into their contents.

names of those getting married?

There is one entry for CAVANAGH in the index, for John in 1822 where he's
a "surety" in a guardianship case.
There are many entries for SCHAMP/SCHOMP, including one for a Rebecca in

Hello All,
Anyone out there researching these newly found cousin's of mine. All from the
Trenton area. Coleman, Fitzell, McGrath, Stem and Beebe. Thanks Diesel.
Does anyone know where the records are kept for the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery?
It is associated with the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church in Mt.
Pleasant. I have contacted both the church and the grounds keeper but they
tell me the old records (pre 1900 burials) are not in their records, as
they must have been passed along to some one - possibly the family of the
previous grounds keeper. I have also contacted the Presbyterian Church
Archives in Philadelphia with no luck. Was hoping the records existed
so
This is a fairly new book so I doubt this is the one you asked me to look
in previously. (Don't know to what you refer)
Under MCFERSON, there are four entries, including for David, John, Reuben
and Thomas
Under McPHERSON, there are fifteen - those names above appear here as
well.
