Hi In "More records of Old Hunterdon County" there is a reference to; Theophilus Moore as a member of the Orphans Court at Flemington Thursday 25 October 1792. Any one know anything about this gentleman? Any comments on his first name? Is it a version of Theodore? In the same book, there is another reference to a "John Moore" a shoemaker living in "Penne".Is Penne the town Pennington or the State PA.? Any info on this John Moore? Hi Walt, Sorry no connections. According to Mr. Deats, the FAUSS family which I'm related to always spelt their name as Fauss. For your child William, which you don't have a birth date for, have you checked the New Jersey 1900 or 1920 Census Soundex? This is a coded card file for everybody in the state of New Jersey whose surname ranges within the code. Your local Public Library can help you rent these films. Don't remember right off if only the 1920 or both, will give you the Naturalization Status
