Hello -
I was wondering whether someone with easy access to the 1895 NJ State Census
could look up W R Snyder, wife Tillie or Matilda. This would be Hunterdon
County, maybe Annandale or Lebanon. Very curious to find out what W R
stands for, and whether they had any children. If these names ring a bell
(I'm hoping that Tillie's maiden name was Robinson) please give a shout.
Thanks.

Hello Jerry,
I have the Opdycke book ("The Op Dyck Genealogy, containing the

I posted this yesterday to the NJ-L and to D-Col lists and neglected to post
to my other 2 favorite lists.
I transcribed these over two days, it was very rough going on Cornelius'
very poor quality. These were sent to me by my cousin Barbara (Gethard)
GEROVAC, and I am greatful for the gift.
I have not edited nor have I ad-libbed, this is as I see it. There are some
typos and I am working on getting those taken care of. I use a magnifying
glass and type at the same time and loose my place quite often.

This was much better preserved, easier to read than the last. Hope someone
finds this interesting. What strikes me right from beginning is that the
transcriber can spell LaTourette correctly. Even though he has trouble with
other words.
Anyone have any information on the "Shugar/Sugar House" in New York that was
used as a prison. I would be interested in a little background.

Frank R. Clawson is listed in the 1900 Census, Flemington, Hunterdon County, Rareton Township, NJ: Frank R. Clawson 28, plumber, Edna 25, Whitman 5.

Hi, folks....
I've added a couple more items to my web site. These are records of the
Rev. William Frazier's "three parishes," St. Thomas Church of Alexandria
Twsp., Hunterdon County, N.J., St. Andrews and Musconetcong.
The marriages can be found at
http://www.raub-and-more.com/fraziermarriages.html
and the baptisms can be found at
http://www.raub-and-more.com/frazierbaptisms.html
Both contain names from Sussex towns (many of them now Warren), as well as
Pennsylvania and, of course, Hunterdon County.
Hi Floreda,
I go to the Hunterdon County Historical Society Library in Flemington,
nearly every Thursday to work on a project. I was there this afternoon and
looked up Frank R. Clawson in their obituary file. He was not listed, but
there were a number of other Clawsons listed.
I did find your Frank R. Clawson, Plumber, listed in 2 editions of Breed
Publishing Co., Directory of Lambertville and Flemington, for the years 1897
and 1899. In '97 he lived on New St. which is Park Ave. today. In '99 he

Snider/Snyders! I'm looking for info on a Peter
Snider/Snyder who married Alena Kitchin. She was my
grandmother's older sister and would have been born
prior to 1895 (my grandmother's birth year). Peter
ran or owned a hotel in Lambertville at one time but
died an early death, leaving Aunt Lena and four
daughters. Anyone have any info on him?

The "agriculture" and livestock sections are immediately behind the normal town census record - that is behind Delaware Twp. was the Del. agriculture and livestock sections. Then the next town began.
As for whether it is separately indexed, I am not sure. I found it completely by accident. My ancestor is Edward G. Phillips. He was listed in the index under "Edward G. Phillips" and "E.G. Phillips." I wondered who this E.G. Phillips was figuring I might have mistaken the two in the past without knowing i

Listers,
Can someone tell me the age at which a girl could marry without parental
consent in NJ? I have a 2nd g-grandmother who supposedly lived all her life
in NJ, married a man from NJ, but NJ has no record of any marriage (but a
record of a daughter's birth in 1871). Per a census, the mother was only 16
when she had my g-grandmother, so would have been 15 when married. I have
an unreadable handwritten certificate-the sort the minister or JP would give
the couple. The date has been tampered with and t

Thought this would interest our Wyckoff groups out there as well as our

believe he is trying to show that he is of little means at this point to try
to get the pension paid to him.
Enjoy.
