I found cabinet cards of a Mr. and Mrs. Tinsman among my Welch family photographs. His picture was taken in St. Louis, Michigan (where my Welch family settled); her picture was taken by Freeland in Milford, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. I will be happy to share these pictures with any relatives.

Hello All,
I am hoping to locate someone who can check this book for the Scudder
family information contained on pages 216 and 255. I was able to locate the
index online and a link to the book as well, but the link no longer works.
I am looking specifically for a marriage record of an Elizabeth
"Betsey" Scudder to a Daniel Thayer that I am told is mentioned in the book.
I am also hoping to locate any information that might be there about her
father Seth Scudder.
Thank You to anyone who
Hi,
Charles C. Coddington was the son of Sylvanus A. Codington and Aletta

daughter, Irma Codington b. 3 April 1893, who married Orrin George Dodge.
She died 28 October 1978 in Plainfield while her husband died 14 December
1959 in North Plainfield, Somerset County, NJ. They had one daughter, Ethel

Robert HOOD married Elizabeth McCARTY in 1771 in the
Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick, NJ. And a Jenny McCARTY
married Paul SCHOFF the same year in the same church.
Does anyone know more about these folks? Where did they
come from? Who were their parents?
The birth and baptismal Records of Zion Lutheran Church for

April 1900 to October 1903. However, there were no entries for
anyone by these names. Did they move elsewhere?

I would like to obtain information from the Spruce Run Lutheran Church
baptismal and marriage records from the early and mid-1800's.
Are they online? On microfilm? Or do I need to write to the church?
I am interested in any information about these records, since I have seen
references to them on the web.

I am searching for information on the parents of Isaac Green b. March 5,
1734/35 in Hunterdon, NJ. He and his wife were Quakers and he died on
September 13, 1813 in Grayson Co., VA. I had found a note in our Greene
family Bible that said that his parents were Robert Green and Mary. There
was also a note that Robert came from England with his parents in 1691 when
he was about 1 year old. Their names were William and Mary. I haven't been
able to verify this yet. Does anyone have information on this family? I
In reference to the information presented below, I am seeking evidence to
confirm or refute the following theories:
1) Sarah "Sally" (SMITH) WILLIAMSON was the dau. of Robert SMITH.
2) Robert SMITH was the grandson of Jasper SMITH.
Based on naming patterns, I have long theorized that my ancestor, Sarah
"Sally" (SMITH) WILLIAMSON was the daughter of a Robert SMITH. Today, using
google.com, it looks like I may have finally found what I've been seeking in
the archives of NJHUNTER-L...

Hi,
My 3rd gr. grandmother was Mary Allen, wife of Robert Allen, and I just received her death certificate which states that her maiden name was Parks. She was born between 1790 and 1800 in NJ, based on the death certificate and other burial information. I have no other information about her but I have noticed there are a lot of Parks families in this area. I think she and her husband lived in Washington, NJ. for a while but then she seems to have separated from him. I know he didn't die until 1883, ac
I'm trying to find my g-g-grandmother Jennie Andrews [marriages: 1) Ross 2)

Last month I reviewed several of the original Muster in Rolls, Muster out
Rolls, and other Civil War actions at the State Archives in Trenton. These
documents recorded age, height, color of eyes and hair, and place of birth,
at least for the man I was looking up. The documents are quite fragile.
The staff at the Archives was extremely helpful. Good luck.

Presbyterian, I believe.

I have several ancestors who lived and died in Hopewell, Hunterdon/Mercer,
New Jersey in the 1830-1850 time period.
A researcher checked the state archieves for the vital and property
records. She reported that the records for that time period were not sent to
the state, but kept locally. However in 1962, they were distroyed in a
"fire".
My guestion is, were any copies made of these records before the "fire" ?
And if so, who would I contact ?
