I was searching Andrew Jakle/Jackle/Yeagley of Fayette County, PA who has

I'm wondering if there is SKS out there with access to the 1860 Federal Census for NJ
who would be willing to look-up the following:
CONNER, William (age abt 49-53); wife Selenda or Salina (abt 1-2 years
younger than William)
They were both born in New Jersey.
Children - Ann, Anderson, Augustus, Lambert, Sarah, Harriett.
Residence; most likely Hunterdon County.
It is possible that there may be two or three Williams in Hunterdon County during this time.
To the best of my knowledge they are all related.
Dear Kay,
"Subjoined" means to add at the end, as of something written; append.
My interpretation of the document would translate to being a form of a cover
letter from
the Pastor requesting the Co. Clerk to record the "following" or "attached"
(subjoined) marriage data.

Does anyone here know if there was a minimum age for a man to own property
and be taxed (so that he appeared on the rateable lists toward the end of
the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century) ?
Also, is there a minimum age for a person to be a witness in a will ?
Thanks for any help.

Henry

Mordecai

Thank you very, very much for doing this.

While looking at a list of Epidemics I see that there was a cholera
epidemic in NYC in 1834. Could it have made its way to Hunterdon Co to
infect this family?
Dear Listers,
Just a word of thanks to the several of you who answered my request
for information about the word subjoined. You all answered basically the

Thank you all again.

I was just wondering if anyone else is researching MYERS or KEIGHTLEY in the
Lambertville area? I'm researching a SAMUEL L MYERS who was the son of JOHN
AND SELINDA MYERS born March 1872. Samuel married SUSAN KEIGHTLEY, I'M
guessing around 1895. SUSAN KEIGHTLEY was born in 1874. They had 4
children, Susan born 1896, Theodore born 1898, Arthur born 1900 and died
before 1903, Harold born 1903.

You need to look at "Borough of Milford" in the census. Today, it is
bordered by Holland Township, and formerly by Alexandria Township.
Check out my website, and you will find some KEIGHTLEY's in the
marriages and some burials at Milford Christian Churchyard. Here is
the URL:

Good luck in your research.

Hi Marshall,
Thanks for responding. Yes, its possible that Zacharaih was Dutch I was
hoping to get back one more generation before having to deal with Dutch
naming patterns. Its also possible that he was Swedish since there were
some early Swedes on the Delaware with the name Closon.
I don't know anything about your John Closen, I don't think Zachariah
had any sons but I don't know for sure. Its possible that your John was
