1. [NJHUNTER] ST JOHN Reformed Church Riegelsville, PA [1]
Hello, I am trying to locate any church records for St John Reformed Church of Riegelsville, PA. Please forgive the cross posting--I find relatives from PA and NJ counties other than Bucks Co. attending this church. On a website, I found a partial listing of members. The site stated this information came from the book "St John Reformed Church of Riegelsville, PA , showing the development and growth of the Congregation from the organization in 1849 to January 1, 1911, Eschenbach Printing Co., Easton,

Hello, My Beers line is a long one but I am having trouble finding 3 wives. I have a James Beers, 1595-1635 married Hester 1599-1635, both of Gravesend, Kent, England. Does anyone know Hester's surname? My Nathan Beers, b 1691 in Fairfield, CT had a son Thomas b 1720 but I can't find a mother for him. I believe Nathan's second wife was Sarah Warne but that's iffy. My gg George Beers 1815-1890, NJ married Catharine b 1824, NJ. I got this info from the census so I'm still looking for Catharine's la

6. [NJHUNTER] CALVIN/COLVIN Genealogy [1]
Since I received several requests for further information on the CALVIN/COLVIN family following my last post seeking information as to the identity of the wife of Luther CALVIN (COLVIN), I decided there was sufficient interest to warrant posting the information here. I have had to edit the data to reduce the download time of the email. On many of the individuals, I have further information. I haven't worked on this line in a couple of years (have been trying to break through brick walls on the Moberly/Moble

9. RE: [NJHUNTER] Research Trip Notes [1]
Hi Marshall, My 6th GGM's gravestone may be one of the earliest in Hunterdon Co. Her grave, along with my 5th GGF's, has been moved twice due to hiway construction. They were originally buried near Annandale, but are now in Clinton at the Evergreen Cemetery. Martha Martin was 74 when she died, and her gravestone reads: Here lyeth the Body of Martha Martin Widow of Alexander Martin who departed this Life May the 11th Anno Dom. 1753 The grave of Alexander Martin has never been identified, but is
10. Re: [NJHUNTER] old cemeteries [1]
Thanks for the info, even tho it didn't pertain to me or my tribe. These days most churches have a website. When I designed the webpages for my church, Griggstown Reformed in Somerset Cty (link below), I deliberately added a page with the cemetery listings. Unfortunately, the cemetery trustees didn't want to give me all of the listings but I did get the older ones. For some reason they felt this wasn't public info. If we could only get local churches to realize the historic value of the stuff they hav

> A few researchers claim that his wife was Elizabeth WARFORD, but most > think that Elizabeth WARFORD was the wife of John CALVIN (COLVIN), > brother of Luther. I have a book entitled "Warford Fisher Kaes-Kuhl Stout Pinckney Families" by Laurence Lee Hill in 1996. I wrote to the author (and received a response) not too long ago at the address: 600 Parkview Drive Three Islands Hallandale, Fl 33009 I don't know if he has an email address. In the book it states: quote E. Elizabeth Warford [daughter of
12. [NJHUNTER] HENDERSON families [1]
I've been noticing the comments about various old tombstones and notices from NJ Newspapers. I am searching for any HENDERSON tombstone located in or near Bethlehem Tp, Hunterdon Co, NJ. Edward Henderson died there in 1819 and his wives and some of his children died there also. I have never been able to find any tombstones or burial locations. He was involved in Township politics and apparently lived someplace near Norton in the northern part of the county. He also seems to have been associated with a Jo

16. Re: [NJHUNTER] William W Moore [1]
Hey Marshall, I wouldn't bet the farm on that book you mention. That's my Moore family and, although the book has some good info, some of it is also questionable. I have a William Moore born in 1823 but he's the son of Clement Clarke Moore of "A Visit From Saint Nicholas" and I don't know anything about him but his birthyear. Good luck. 17. [NJHUNTER] Research Trip Notes [1]
I spent this past week on a research trip to Hunterdon and Warren Counties. I met a couple of lovely ladies there and we all had a good, productive time. During the day I visited the WCHS, the public library in Belvidere, the Marx Room in the Easton Public Library, and in Flemington the Hall of Records, the Justice Building, and the HCHS where I met William Hartman. During the early evening hours I visited various cemeteries. While visiting the cemeteries I got to wondering what was the oldest headstone

Hello JB Vogt, I'm in Florida working out of my laptop and with no files with me!, and don't have all the information available, but the Holcombe-Jimeson Farm near Lambertville is associated with the Hunterdon County Historical Society located in Flemington. They have restored barns and other buildings and have an extensive assortment of farm equipment and memorabilia from earlier times in Hunterdon. Please contact Roxanne Carkhuff at the HCHS (I don't have phone number, but should be in the phone book).

21. [NJHUNTER] njskylands website [1]
Thanks Beverly for posting the address of the Tewksbury website. My great-grandparents were married at the home of Fanny Tiger and Caspar H. Lindaberry in Tewksbury. Both she and her husband, Charles H. Proctor, are buried in the Cokesbury Cemetery on Water Street. I wonder if her family had anything to do with the boarding house in Tewksbury. It was nice to learn a little history about that area. Faye Eschenfelder fde.lists@earthlink.net Why Wait? Move to EarthLink.

Thank you so much! I tried all day to contact someone at the Van Horne-McDonough Funeral Home in Lambertville, NJ since they were in charge of the funeral arrangements according to the obituary. However, I was only able to speak with the answering service and they were not sure when someone would be in. I left my name and number and as yet my call has not been returned. Does anyone recognize this Eli YOUNG: Eli YOUNG had a farm in Trumbull Co., OH circa 1840's. According to DAR application papers, Eli was married to Catherine BELLESFELT, b. 1793. Per the "Official Roster of the SAR in the State of Ohio", a Rev War veteran named Peter BELLESFELT, who died in 1844, was buried on the Eli YOUNG Farm, located in the northeast corner of Farmington Twp., Trumbull Co OH.
