I have a page from my Mom's H.S. yearbook with this individual's name and
picture on the back. Not sure of the high school name, but would be glad to share
a copy of this if there is anyone with John D. STAPLES Jr. in their tree.

Greetings,
The National World War II Memorial will be dedicated on May 29, 2004
in Washington, D. C. It was funded almost entirely from private
contributions. The memorial will honor approximately 16 million
Americans who served in the US armed forces during World War II, the
more than 400,000 who died, and the millions of others who contributed
to the war effort as civilians.
The following is the URL for the National World War II Memorial.

I just want to pass this on if it matters to anyone who may bid on
genealogy items on eBay. "sevenchildren" places NJ-related auctions
occasionally.
Recently I attempted to bid on an item placed on eBay by the seller named
"sevenchildren". My bid was refused by the seller. I tried several times
and each time my bid was rejected. I emailed the seller multiple times
asking why and never received a response. I've completed at least one
transaction in the past with this seller successfully, and no unsucce
Beverly,
This is a wonderful thing to do to honor all of our servicemen and women who
served in the defining war for our generation! My father and one uncle
served in the Pacific Theater and my other uncle was with (my 8th cousin!)
General George S. Patton in Africa and Europe. I have just registered my
father and uncles and will shortly be sending in their pictures to the site.

Thanks, Bev, for the great website and suggestion! I went on and registered and added my dad as well as his two brothers and my mother's two brothers! Can't wait to be able to send their photos! This is really a great idea and it certainly is long overdue!
Thanks again, Bev.

Dear List,
I purchased an old, small cabinet card photo of a 7 year old girl named
Katherine Black. On the front of the yard it is imprinted with "Lambertville, NJ".
I suspect this photo was taken between 1910-1920. Handwriting on the back
identifies the name of this little girl and her age.
If you may be interested in this photo, please contact me privately. The
photo is in excellent condition.

I don't know that I've asked you this before, but if so, tell me.

As long as people are looking for the HENDERSON family, thought I'd throw my
missing member into the mix. Elizabeth HENDERSON, m. John RICHEY (1743-1834).
That's the sum total of my info on the poor woman. Any clues out there?

Sorry, correction, it's Sylvanus Shaw Higgins (not Sylvester). The parents I have for him, given by someone with a copy of the genealogy "Richard Higgins and His Descendants" by Katharine Chapin Higgins, 1918, p. 318.
"John Higgins lived at Newells, near Flemington, Hunterdon County, NJ. He was generally known as John W. Higgins, the middle initial being added to distinguish him.

Hi,
The Chonko family shows up at 40 Brown Street in Flemington. Dan
Chonko was born August 25 1929, and passed December 8 1998. His
social security number was 146-20-4307. The Hunterdon County
Historical Society has a card file (by name) of obituaries from the
Hunterdon County Democrat Newspaper. Also, he may have a will on file
at the Surrogate's Court in the Justice Building at Flemington.
Good luck,

Would anyone have info on the sons of John Heath of Hunterdon Co., PA. (Andrew1, Andrew2) who married Mary unknown? This John Heath was b c1724 and died 1806 intestate. Have found several references noting he had 8 sons who participated in Rev. War and later removed to VA/KY. I suspect my John Heath (was in Fayette Co., PA, where he (probably) married Margaret Adams) may be in this line. John relocated from PA to Mason Co., KY by 1790. Established salt works with Moses Baird and Jos. Vance. in Mason Co.
