1. Re: [NJHUNTER-L] Dalrymples [1]
Hello Sharon, Do you know if this book is still available and where to get it? It sounds like interesting reading and most likely my ancestors are in it. We had some good friends in Buffalo NY by the name of Dalrymple. It's interesting to see friends' surname come up on the list. 5. [NJHUNTER-L] Records [1]
Hi Group, I am planning a trip to NJ, in September. I will be researching the time frame 1650 - 1816. I would like to develop a research list of documents, books and other records that cover the time frames above. If you could send me the name and location of any resource you have used it would enhance my chances of locating some very elusive "Housel / Housell" family members. I would appreciate it if you could contact me via the list or privately. I will send anyone the list that I compile, it

Hi Rachel, There is a film available through a local family history center titled, "Damages in Hunterdon County during the Revolution". Any one who had lost farms, businesses, cows etc could file a claim of damages and ask for compensation. I don't have the film number handy, but have looked at it a few years ago and found it interesting. > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Sharon, Thank you for the article. I am a descendant of the Hunterdon Co. Dalrymple's. There are many references to the family descending from the Third Earl of Stair. However, from the research I have done, as well as other researchers, the Third Earl of Stair never married and died without issue. At least issue that we know about. I understand there is a new Baron book out dedicated to the illegitimate children of royalty.
