Dear List,
Does SKS have access to the 1895 New Jersey Census or City Directory? I am
looking for the address of William and Margaret Lynch in Stockton or
Lambertsville. Or any other Lynch that may be listed.
Thank you

Thank you very much for the lookup in your book for the sur-name Rightmire
Mary. I appreciate it and believe Jacobus Rightmire Sr and Jr are my line.
Any information on this family especially the branch that went down into Virginia very much appreciated. It is a tough name to search.
Thanks again, Alice

Question..
I have found, what I believe, is my Great Grandmother's first husband, GEORGE F. NASH. I have copies of his Muster-in Roll saying he joined Company A, 30 Regiment New Jersey Mil. Inf. (in Flemington) on September 3, 1862 and Muster-in date of September 17, 1862... Now the question is, where would I go to find further information of him joining, such as his Vital Statistics, place of birth, etc.?
Thanks in Advance...
Geo.
It looks great, Carol. I like the fact that you have more than just names
(which to me are virtually useless without details) and sources of your
information. Good work. Too bad you're not descended from my Hunterdon
families: Welsh (Welch or Welsch), Crater and Dean -- maybe Bunn, too.

Hello list members:
Can anyone tell me how "Hannah's Rock" may have been named? It's a
very large boulder at the edge of the woods, on the right-hand side of
the road, as one travels down Jugtown Mtn towards West Portal.

I am currently making an effort to try to identify all the LAKEs who
resided in, or stemmed from, Hunterdon Co, NJ. See what I've done so far
at http://mlake.net/lake/NewJersey/HunterdonCoLakes.txt
I'm open to any comments/corrections/additions/etc.

The above names were living in White House Station, NJ. Is anyone familiar
with any of these names & if so, would you please contact me directly. My
Great Grandparents were of one of these name (Joseph/Julia). I am sorry to

I am a member of a Quilt Study Group and we have come across a Signature

There are also several people with the surname 'Dilly' and an inscription
which says 'March 17th at 1851 at the head of the spring at Brandy Road.'
There are several other names but I w

Fish,
I'd be interested in your FISHER info. There are indications that one,
possibly three?, BELLIS males married FISHER girls back in the early-to-mid
1700's. I would dearly love to get my hands on any first-source
documentation of the marriages.
Here is my online database (it's about 1/3rd complete), and the webpage
linked is where I have a Barnet BELLIS married to possibly Mary FISHER :

To everyone that I had corresponded with in the past several weeks -
It was rumored that the NJ Historical Society had 3 boxes donated by C.S.Fillips which dealt strictly with the Phillips family. It was further rumored that one or more of the boxes may have been lost.
Well, I visited them on Saturday and they do not have any boxes and they did not seem to be aware of the prior existence of them. Their Phillips material consists of two vertical files (one of some bible records) and two books. I thin
Thank you for your help. I guess the census takers just couldn't spell Stamets ( and maybe the Staymetz' couldn't either).

There were some of the Phillips name in America at least as early as 1623, and by 1660 there were many here. Of these we mention Frederick Philipse, born about 1626 at Bolwaerts in Friesland, married Margaret Hardenbrook, widow of Peter Rudalphous De Vries, married as second wife Catherine, daughter of Cloff S. Van Cortlandt, in 1692. In 1693 hid estate was chartered as the Manor of Philipseborough, and the Manor House later beca
I have sparse information that an Adam BELLIS was married to an Anne
SCHENCK. They had one son, Jacob (b.c. 1780), who married Ann DILTS,
apparently of Readington (my info is unclear; it could be that the marriage
took place in Readington). Another son, William (b.c. 1782) married Betsey
BREWER.
Does anyone recognize Ann DILTS or Betsey BREWER?
I am perplexed as to who Jacob & Wm's father, Adam BELLIS, might be. I am
fairly certain I have all the "Adam BELLIS's" in Hunterdon Co. accounted for

Jim, you should leave the NJ Turnpike and get to know some of the Union County cities. Elizabeth has the gorgeous Warinanco Park with its azalea gardens and Rahway has the Rahway River Park. Not everything in Union County is ugly and not everything looks like Route One.

Hello to the family of CASE/KASE/KAES in New Jersey.
I know that my family had it's beginnings there. But I'm totally confused.
Do you have sources for your findings? My ancestry starts with Sarah Case b.
1811 in PA who married John Huff b. in 1811 PA, son of Anthony Huff of
Hunterdon Co. NJ. SARAH CASE'S parents were JOHN CASE b. 1778 in NJ and ANNA
(NANCY MARIE) FOX b. 2 Aug 1782 in NJ. I believe, and I have to check and
see if I have a source for the next portion, that JOHN'S parents were JOHN
