I have part of a Van Arsdalen family history. It does not
include Peter or Christopher and Henry, it is only a
portion. The source is:
The Somerset County Historical Quarterly
Vol. 8 1919
pgs somewhere around 106 and 107.
The name of the Article is:
The Van Arsdale Family-Pluckemin Line
Your family should be in there somewhere as a lot of them
were from Somerville. I think that some of the issues of the
Quarterly are on-line somewhere.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had access to probate and naturalization records
for Hunterdon? The nat record is dated 1760 and the probate/will is dated 1793
#1625j. For JACOB ANTHONY. Or if anyone in the area is making a trip to the
probate court office or Historical soc. in the near furture?
If so I have a huge favor to ask and would be willing to pay for
copies or whatever costs. There are a couple records I'm searching for and
have not been able to get in contact with the Historical so

Mmm? I must be missing something. How could Jacob become a naturalized citizen
in 1760 when the United States didn't exist? I'd really like to know more about
this since I was an Immigration Officer (US Border Patrol) and don't recall anyone
becoming a "citizen" that early
The roll call for the surnames we are researching has generated
a lot of mail. Probably close to 100 messages so far. I hope
that these messages will make connections between researchers
and we all will gather additional information.
A couple of the messages suggested that we ought to have a surname
registry on the Hunterdon County webpage. Since I also maintain
the Hunterdon County webpage, I am asking for your input on what
that registry might be.
For example, the registry might just be a listing of

In the New Jersey Index of Wills, I find no "P.W." in Hunterdon County.
However, there is a Peter Vansicklan, file #360J. Book 8, page 86. Intestate

All,
William CASE (1758-1852) married Anna FISHER (d. 1851) in 1779. They had John
CASE (1801-1880) who married 1.) Elizabeth HOFF and 2. Amy (HOFF?). John and
Elizabeth had Mary CASE (1824-1902) who married John B. OPDYCKE.
Any connections?
Thanks,
Mike O.
Loretta,
Bill Morrow and I have been discussing this very family. Do you have anything
on the parents of Anna FISHER?
I descend from Margaret's brother John, so I guess that makes the three of us
cousins at some level. Let me know if you have anything in particular on
John.
I have some CASE material I haven't looked at in awhile so I'm going to have
to dig it up and post it if we're going to discuss the CASEs so much.
Thanks,
Mike O.
