I have no Georges listed in my Rittenhouse line.
I believe Rittenhouse Sq. in Philly may be named after David R'house, best
known as an astronomer, among other credits.
No known connection made w/Titus or Myers either.

I also have an interest in the Tiger family. My great-grandmother was Mary
Lindebury Proctor who was the daughter of Fanny Tiger and Casper H.
Lindebury. It has been suggested that Fanny was the granddaughter of Jacob
Tiger. All I know at the present is that there are several Tigers buried
in the Lebanon, NJ Methodist cemetery and a few more in the Cokesbury
cemetery. I would like to learn more about the Tigers, but have not had
time to research this family in detail. Faye

Anyone done any work with the MANNERS name? My family comes from around
Frenchtown - I have come up with many confusing references. They mostly
seem to be John or James, which muddies the waters. I believe they came
over in the late 17th century, supposedly descendants of the Earl of
Rutland.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks -

Hi listers,
This is a long time coming. I've been trying to print to file and send it out, but one problem or another has prevented that. So now I type it out long hand and send it to you. Hope you can fill some holes in your family tree. In the following list, the only thing I am unsure about are the exact spelling of Pounell, and MC Clay married to Catherine Dalrymple(Matilda McClay married to James Dalrymple is correct).
Good Luck.

Diane, I recognize MOST of the surnames. I'm forwarding the newspaper article to
several "peripheral cousins". A couple of them grew up in Hopewell during that
time period and will, doubtless, remember some of the guests. Of course, the
cousins are wayyyy older than I am...... Thanks so much for posting it!

Joanne,
In the Colonial Marriage Bonds index I see:
Samuel Ruckman married Martha Foster, July 4, 1772
Thomas Ruckman married Susanna Ent, Apr 5, 1774
Hitabel Ruckman married John Parsons, Nov 26, 1733
Susannah Ruckman married Peter Overfield, Jun 27, 1769
In the Hunterdon County Will index I see:
Thomas Ruckman Sr, will & inventory, dated 1715
John Ruckman, will, inventory and account, dated 1749
Perhaps the will of Thomas would mention Jesse Edwards. I do lookups for
wills and other records
