women are buried in Port Murray Baptist Cemetery. Jacob Beaty(Alexander's
father) was b Mt Lebanon.

Hello All
My great grandmother Ida Price Denson Cole was said to be 1/2 Indian she used
to go up to Canada to visit her father. Can anyone tell me where in Canada

Greetings,
My mom's step father was an August Bolmer (1887-1978) who lived in High
Bridge. 'Gus' had three sisters, Fanny, Saidy, and Ida and a brother Albert.
Their father may have been an August Bolmer who is buried at the Mountain
View cemetery in Cokesbury. I was wondering if anyone had any information on
the Bolmer family of 19th century Hunterdon County.
Thanks,
Rick Novak
Would like to find info on THARPs in the Hunterdon County area of NJ. Have
had little success finding much about them. Gggrandfather Whitfield THARP
(WHITEFIELD H. SHARP?), seems to have been married in Alexendria Twp. to Amy

Dear Harry, Harman, and other Hoagland and/or Stryker Cousins,
We have just launched our new HOAGLAND website
"The Ancestors of Maria Hoagland" at:
http://www.stipak.com/hoagland/maria/MariaHoagland.HTM
It is a memorial website and ongoing genealogy research project for Maria
"Polly" HOAGLAND, my 3rd great-grandmother.
Born and raised in Somerset County, New Jersey in the late 1700's, Maria
married another Dutch American, John D. STRYKER, in about 1803, and with
him continued until her death to reside in
Would anyone like to have the rest of the Hunterdon County Cemetery lists?
I have found the rest of them. Please address me directly.
Thanks

Hello to all,
Can anyone tell me if you can get a copy of a city directory? Or can you get
a copy of a page out of the directory some how?
I am looking for one from Lambertville, and New Hope. years 1895 or so.
When did they start with city directories? Are they every year?
Thanks everyone for your help.

Looking for information on John Conrad HAWS and John HAWS Jr., who are
listed as "Next of Kin" on the Inventory of Isaac WOLVERTON, "late of
Frederick County", dated 12 Aug 1778, in Frederick Co., MD
(Administratrix: Cathrine WOLVERTON).
Since the inventory includes shoemaker's equipment, I assume that he was
Isaac-3 WOLVERTON (Roger-2, Charles-1) from Hunterdon Co., NJ, who for
some unknown reason moved to MD, probably after 1776.
The HAWS family could be connected either through Cathrine (assumed to be

I have a James GARRISON (b 1767) who married a Dinah ROBINS in Hunterdon

John. My James could very well be your Jane's brother. See

My WYCKOFF ancestors are supposedly registered in the records of the Six
Mile Run Dutch Reformed Church in the early 18th century. Can anyone tell
me in what town or city this church is or was located, and where I might
find the church records?

Does anyone know if a full index exists for the book:

If so, does anyone know where to find it? Thanks.

Does anyone on the list happen to have a history of the Borough of
Stockton? I'm looking for the dates/years Theodore S Moore was mayor
of that borough. His father was Gideon Moore (in case the book you have
happens to mention him!) Thanks in advance for checking!

Horace,
I think the Tharp family is a separate one. Try looking in the phone
book and seeing if there is any listed there. I currently know the wife
of a "Tharp" who still lives in Hunterdon county. Most likely related, I
would think.

Hello to all
I have been having the hardest time trying to find information on the
Cemeteries in Lambertville NJ. While I was in town yesterday I made my
rounds to the Funeral Homes but no one ever answered the doors. So I left a
note in the mailbox. Then I followed it up with a phone call today. Well,
finaly I have a fellow who is willing to help he said. We shall see.
I started out just asking for 2 names who are giving me a really hard time.

Hi, fellow genealogy lovers I am trying put together a web site together containing links to all New Jersey Genealogy resources. Also I have pages set up to link all your New Jersey Genealogy personal home pages too. If you would like your page linked to my site please email me you URLs and if you have a banner or a brief description as well I will link you ASAP. What I am trying to do is make a central point for all those who are looking for their ancestry in New Jersey. I spent many a years on line lookin
Dear Anita-
Re: your question about Hunterdon County directories. I know that I've
used one for the towns of Lambertville and Frenchtown for 1899 at the
Hunterdon County Historical Society. If you just have one surname to
check, you might write to them (with sase, etc - the whole drill) and
request a lookup.
Come to think of it, there are a number of Warren County directories so
there may be other years for Hunterdon County. Does anyone on this list
know?

Hello All!
I am new to the list today! I am looking for any mention and info on the
family of Thomas RUCKMAN around 1760+ in Hunterdon Co, NJ.
My son's ancestor is Jesse EDWARDS, a Rev War soldier who died in Scioto Co,
OH in 1856 at the age of over 100 years. In testimony given for a Rev War
pension in 1832 in Adams co, OH., Jesse EDWARDS said:
" I have no record of my age. At the age of about four years, I was
apprenticed out to Thomas RUCKMAN and taken to Hunterdon County, New Jersey
