Q. Is/was there a place in Hunterdon Co. called Greenage?
Although the Peter Williamson in the following extract is
identified as being of Greenage, Hunterdon County, it seems likely
that this reference is actually to Peter Williamson of Greenwich,
Sussex County:
1773, June 26. Hunt, Samuel, of Bethlehem Township,
Hunterdon Co. Int. Adm'r--Hugh McAllester, of said
place. Fellowbondsman--Peter Williamson of Greenage,
said Co. Witness--Furman Yard.

Seeking information on Samuel CORL (also spelled COYL, COIL, CORYL, CARLE)
born 1801, married TOBITHA ORIN before 1821, died Sept 15 1883 in Ravenna,
OH. I found a note in www.FamilySearch.com that says he was born in
Hunterdon (possibly as CORYELL) and his father was Benjamin, and grandfather
was Samuel. Would like to know this for sure! Can anyone help?

I am researching 2 Lake families in Lambertville. The 1885 NJ State census
says shows that Nickolas Lake (over 60 years of age) was living in the 2nd
ward of Lambertville, with the Horten family. His daughter Mary was married
to Alfred Horten.
Also in the 2nd ward is Nickolas's son, Peter H. Lake and his wife Hannah
(Horne). They are both about 20 years old, no children listed.

These are some baptisms - just to break it up. On the left is the
child. Then the parents. If you find one of "yours" let me know and
I'll also give you the witnesses. It's just too much to type!

Thank you, Dennis, for transcribing the Hunterdon County Democrate records

will be linked to the Hunterdon County Website!
Dear Sharon,
Thank you so much for taking the time to type in all this HAGAMAN info from
the Harlingen Church in New Jersey.
Several of my ancestors are included here, so it IS very helpful!
Question:
Why is the surname spelling consistently only "HAGAMAN" in this data, I
wonder?
Yes, some of the descendants became "HAGAMAN," but the original spelling of
the name was "HEGEMAN" into the mid-1700's, and then many of them became
also "HAGEMAN," including my line.
For example, on your very last line you ha

Hi Sharon,
This is wonderful all this work you are doing on these records. I have a
couple of questions. Do you know anything of the history of this church?
And also are there any Hoff/Huff/Hough records included? Thanks millions.

Currently on eBay.com there is a family Bible for a Peter Blue,
1823-1850. If this is, or could possibly be, your family, please check
it out.
There are beautiful family Bibles on eBay every day, most with
genealogical information. Some even have tintypes in them. You owe it
to yourself to bookmark eBay and check it out. No, I have no
affiliation with eBay. I just feel really bad when these items come up
for auction; often there are no bidders. When you get to eBay enter

Abraham Stern is listed as a "Slave Owner" in the 1840 Lebanon Township,

Please remember that I'm not doing lookups. Don't have the books
available or the time as the books have to be searched page by page and
are difficult to read at best. I still can't believe the secretary did

Hi Charlene - thank you for your time in putting down your thoughts about
genealogy research in such a wonderful way. Your feelings and experiences
exactly echo my own. I plan to forward on to my family what you have so
generously shared with us. Maybe it will help them understand and
appreciate this "addiction" we have to our past and our history.
By the way, I also have Culvers, Heaths and Smiths in my family tree, along

Hello All,
I went to my first treasure hunt last week at the Lambertville
Antique market on Rte 29. What a great experience. Did not find any
treasures, but learned alot.
It is a shame so many people have lost part of their history. I found
many, many beautiful photos from the late 1800's and most have no way to
identify the subjects. I think that is a shame. I guess these photos
come from estate sales and are virtually "lost" forever from the
descendents

St. Johns cemetery has a card file which has been microfilmed by the
Mormons, though for some reason I can't find it in the online catalog at
http://www.familysearch.org . It may strictly be limited to military
veterans buried in the cemetery; my ancestor, Michael McGuire (1832-1904)
appears on LDS microfilm #83662, so you might want to check that number, if
you can, for a complete name of the document, and my old typed notes only
name the source as "burial record" and give the above cited GS number. Text

Good morning, listers.
I am seeking information on the family of Jeremiah Todd who were farming
in Lambertville. The 1860 census shows Jeremiah and Elizabeth Todd living
with two children. One of whom is John Runkle Todd, b. 1858. He is the
ancestor from whom my husband's line continues. I have had a duce of a
time going backwards however. The old family bible says Jeremiah's
father was named Charles Todd, but I haven't mad any direct connections.
I hope that by writing this forum, I can find someon
Hi, List,
Has it been unusually quiet this past weekend, or

Does anyone have any information on Ann Bennett, b.

to John Strycker Probasco? He is buried in Cedar
