Hi- I think this is the Jacob Dacker/Decker from Amwell twp, Hunterdon Co named in Andries Decker's will.(husband of Dvierje Maule) This is the only Jacob Decker I could find in any Hunterdon Co records; the only other Decker in Hunterdon Co records was John Decker (wife, Sarah DeMott) who was also mentioned in Andries' will. There were no records in Hunterdon Co for another brother, Peter Decker, Hunterdon Co, also mentioned in Andries' will, but there was a Peter Decker (married to Styntje) living

7. RE: [NJHUNTER] Fenley Farm [1]
To All, Would anyone happen to know where the old Rockafeller homestead would be? I'm not that familiar with Hunter.Co. but I've been told it's across the street from a cemetery where quite a few Rockafellers are buried, and possibly a church, in Milford. I would like to visit on my next trip to NJ. Thanks, Sharon

Hello Fellow Listers, I am searching for a SLACK, possibly Henry or Noah Slack, who leased and ran a ferry at Washington Crossing sometime between 1790 and 1860. There is a family story about them meeting on a ferry. Any info on this SLACK or tips where or how to research would be greatly appreciated. Thanks sooooooo much in advance, Carl ________

21. [NJHUNTER] Joyce Leaver Carraway [1]
All, I read with sadness in today's Hunterdon County Democrat of the passing of Joyce Leaver Carraway. She was a fellow list member here. I frequently corresponded with her regarding genealogy and local history via email. Joyce is related to the well-known Dr. Morris Hampton Leaver, M. D., D. D. S of Quakertown in Franklin Township. Joyce was kind enough to help me with my Hunterdon County website by providing me with the listing of plot owners / interments of the Locust Grove Cemetery and Quaker Burial

Hi Phyllis- my source merely said from "The Docket of Peter Brunner, Readington, Hunterdon Co., NJ, RUL. I am assuming RUL stands for Rutgers University Library and this is a record of different court cases from that era written by Peter Brunner. Fred Sisser III is the one who found the source for me. Hope this helps you find it. Janet
