Who knows? I'm just hoping for a Morris hit. I sort of doubt it, as I

Bev,
Sorry to have jumped on you. Are name has also done us proud over the
years. But we do care how it is spelled. Our family has had to put up
with peoples ignorance since I was a child, with the constant
mis-spelling of the name thomson.Mis-spelled on trophies, legal
documents, newpaper articles, etc.,etc. I do feel that each name is
unique and important to that person or family. You may not chose to

Thanks, Bev. I have come across this Agnes, too, but the death date for mine is
firm (will probated in 1760) so I don't think this could be the right one unless
her death date is wrong. Did she live in Middletown? Have any of the daughters I
mentioned?

Hi Sarah,
I may have a Runnels connection. I am researching my gr gr grandfather
Harrison COOMBS who was born in NJ in about 1816. One candidate for his
mother is Matilda HULIT who was born in 1794 probably in East Windsor right
over the border of Monmouth Co. I have the Revolutionary War Pension File for
her father George HULIT, it states her mother was Ann or Nancy RUNNELS,
daughter of James Runnels and I believe a Mary (don't have the file handy) .
Do you have info on any Runnels named James probab
