My husband and I recently ordered a set of 3 VHS tapes called "A Historical
Review, Plainfield and Its Neighbors, 1830-1965." The brochure had been
sent to the alumni from North Plainfield HS.
We have been so impressed by them. They were created by guys who obviously
loved the area, and made good use of the old pictures and postcards they had
available. We are not connected in any way, shape, or form, to these
people who are selling them. We just enjoy them so much that we thought

Tom,
He isn't in the published tombstone inscriptions for the New Providence
Presbyterian Church and not in the published list for the New Providence
Methodist Church. Littell says that the Raddin homestead was located near
Feltsville some of which is actually part of Berkeley Heights. I checked the
Westfield Pres Cemetery and found nothing. 9 persons with the surname Raddin
are buried in Scotch Plains Baptist cemetery but Jeremiah (or Jeremy) was
not listed. Not in the published list for Rahway, Spring

I received this on another email account of mine that is used strickly
for family emails. I have never accessed Rootsweb from either of my Juno
accounts as I don't have internet access with Juno. Where did this
person get my email address and why is he trying to make me think
rootsweb is at fault? Anyone else get this?

Could someone tell me what type of church records are available for Union
County (specifically New Providence), and where/how to access them?
I have an ancestor (Jeremiah Raddin) who died between 1870 (he was alive for
the census) and 1880 (his wife died, a widow), more than likely in New
Providence. I haven't been able to locate a death certificate, and am hoping
to find his death date from church records.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tom Smith in CT
I had the exact same message in my mail today. I tried contacting my
provider but their office was closed this afternoon, so I did email them a
message about it asking their advice. I hope to hear from them on Monday.
In the meantime I'm doing nothing, unless someone on this list, who is a lot
smarter about this sort of thing than me, advises me to do something.

Hi-
This has been an incredible week! Both sides were found!
First, let me admit that I am Barbara, Carol`s friend. I used her name to
help in the search--maybe a family name?
Believe it or not, it was! She was named for her gmother, Caroline/Carrie
SLOVER.
[Plus, Carol was too nervous to search on her own, LOL.]
Turns out, Carol has a very large--and friendly--SADOWSKY/SLOVER family in NJ.
Time for me to step back, altho, I have enjoyed "meeting" all of you.
Carol`s e-mail is cnigro@cfl.rr.com and I
