Today I received copies of the obituaries for Minnie Schultz Cortright and
Caroline Schultz. Both are buried in Belvidere Cemetery.
Minnie Cortright was the daughter of Caroline and Andrew Schultz. She was
born about 1888 and died about October 31, 1912, in Easton, PA. She was
survived by her husband Jesse Cortright and two children (one named Louis
Cortright).
Caroline Schultz was born March 14, 1836, in Germany. She came to America
at age 16 with her first husband, John Odler, and their baby. They

I am looking for the name of a MR. DECKER who married MARTHA READ. Here's what I know:
MARTHA READ was the daughter of AARON READ and HANNAH BRANDS. She was born 6 August 1843 in Mount Hermon, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey and died 19 December 1873 in New Jersey. She was still living with her parents in 1870 when the census was taken. She married MR. DECKER after 1870. The couple had their first child, a son KITTLE DECKER on 19 March 1873. Martha died seven months later. The baby survived for fi

I have a few of these names in my database:
1. Miniger, Lowrance = Lawrence Minnier (or Minier). He was the brother of
my 4th great-grandmother, Hannah Minnier Metz. Other Minnier researchers
(this is a family of active researchers) may know this for sure, but I have
Lawrence's wife's name as Christina ? She could, therefore, possibly be the
"Christian Minier" daughter of of Michael Leyport mentioned in his will.
(Their second son was named "Michael.")
(I also have a cousin of Lawrence's, daughter

Hi Marilyn and Warren County/Sussex County researchers!
The following is my one connection to the Decker family and I have been
unable so far to connect her to any other Deckers. The following information was
obtained from probate records of Sussex County. I am then connected to
Temperance Decker and Asa Wilson's daughter Temperance Wilson who married Samuel
Scofield. I know a lot about the Scofield's if anyone is interested in that line.
Can anyone help me connect to some parents for Temperance?

Hi!
I am doing genealogy on my family with the surnames of Eckhardt, Wyant, Bolmer, Boyd, Potts, Sprauer, Lott, Pittenger, Apgar, Vosseller, Taylor, Van Horne and a few others thrown in there for good measure. Most all are from Warren County, NJ. Some from Pennsylvania. Most immigrated from Germany. I would love to exchange information with anyone searching these surnames.
Please email me directly kim_eckhardt@yahoo.com.
TIA.

This GSNJ program is free of charge and open to the general public.
Reservations are suggested in order to ensure adequate seating. Please get
your reservation in as soon as possible. (However, we should be able to
accommodate last minute walk-ins. So,
Who here are (say that 5 times fast :) thinking of attending the annual
GSNJ meeting at Rutgers on November 6 ? The free lectures look promising.
I think it would be interesting to meet face-to-face some of the other
researchers who I've conversed with here.

Kim- I am interested in Pittenger because one of the "sons" married my Jacob
Lefler's daughter, Elizabeth. Pursuing this may help me to learn more about
leflers even if it just builds context. I think, without checking paperwork
for now, it was Abraham Pittenger. Bob Lefler

I apologize for duplication of the final announcement I sent about GSNJ's
annual meeting! I sent it from a non-subscribed address the first time
around and so it was rejected from some lists. I hope to see you all there
