I assume you mean this census-record? http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=f00715&gardpostnr=254&personpostnr=1678#nedre Botne JL means Botne in Jarlsberg (but I don't see the JL in that census though). I was a bit curious on this one - Nils Gustav Nilsens father Niels Gabriel Nilsen was my hubbys 2. grandfather! Is this relatives of yours katerose?
