Seeing the recent chat about this name, I put in the 1851 census CDROM and typed in the name Kerenhappuch and it listed 7 people with this name I then typed in Keren and it returned 14 people with a second name spelled variously as Happuch/Halipuch/Habbuck/H/Happach/Happuck Typing in Kerren gives people with a second name Hepock/Huppuch As none of these second names seem to come up as a surname, I guess they are just a variation on Kerenhappuch, but whether this is the census collectors interpretation or

Good morning, I now realize that I have subscribed on my wife's address. I will have to change that soon. I am researching LLOYD's and ELWIN's of Thurning Hall in Norfolk. Richard LLOYD married Sarah ELWIN in 1799. Children were Richard Hastings LLOYD, Edward, Elwin Owen, Merrick, and Harry. First two children were born at Thurning Hall and the remainder were born in Toronto, Ontario. I would like to hear from anyone researching these names. Rob

Trying to find any connections to the CRAFER family. Earliest known CRAFER was John who married 1700 Frances HALL at Swaffham he died 1711. Son John b 1702 married (1) Margaret Titsel in 1729 and (2) Susannah Main in 1742. By Susannah he had at least one child namely John b 1745 who married Eliabeth SCULFER in 1769 and had at least two sons Thomas b 1781 and John b 1790. Can anybody please advise me regarding Inns/Public Houses in North Wootton >From the Landranger O.S map and the 1885 O.S map it appears there is a Inn near the Church and a Public House on Ling Common Rd called the Red Cat.Can anyone confirm the present name of these two establishments.Any history or dates would be an added bonus.One of my ancestors appears to have been the Publican at the Red Cat in 1851but beyond this I have no information.
