Hope Carlota doesn't holler at me for advertising this new list on the Norton list but it is relevant; Neponset, Bureau Co IL was founded by four families, including the NORTON family, of Yorkshire England in abt 1839. Are there any researchers on this list working on any Norton lines not from the early New England group?? I'm still out here all by myself with John Norton b. Brawby England m. Sarah Noble, early settlers of Neponset, Bureau, IL, arriving about 1839-1841 and establishing the Methodist Church in the area. Am I the only one out here working on Nortons who didn't come before the natives???????

Seeking ancestry of my gr gr grandfather Patrick Norton (1858-1937). He was a native of County Roscommon, Ireland, and settled in Jersey City, NJ. He was a part owner of the Kruger Brewery there. His wife was Margaret Conner (1865-1920) of JC, daughter of Patrick & Margaret Conner. Children were Thomas, James, Margaret, & Harry. This is all the info I have. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
