My Great-great grandfather Alva Norton, born 21 Mar 1829, had brothers: John, James, David,William J, Warren and Rubin. He married Catherine Beatty in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. He died in Bleinheim, Ontario, Canada. Brother, William J. stayed in Bowmanville. The others I am not sure of.

I know of at leat 2 Norton lines in AL. The Balbour Nortons come from Horry and Marion, SC.
The Lawrence county Nortons come from KY. We have a DNA signature for the Horry, SC Nortons but we need 1 more to establish a DNA signature for the Lawrence Nortons.
