1. Re: [NS-CB] Lejeune / Jessome family line [1]
Hi Laurie; Would you know if your Corbetts are connected in any way to the Corbetts in the St' Peter's area? One of my g-g-grandmothers was a Mary Corbett from Corbett's Cove near St. Peter's. She was married to Donald MacDonald (Domhnull Ban, s/o Domhnull Ban a'Choire) from East Bay. Family lore says that these Corbetts also had some sort of Mi'kmaq connection. Mary Corbett is one of my brick walls but I'm starting to think she was related to James Corbett who came from PEI and worked as a sawyer

9. Re: [NS-CB] Just wondering [1]
I just finished proof reading 18 cemeteries & also indexed a few cemeteries for New Brunswick from photographed headstones. Most of the headstones inscribed the wife's given & maiden name on one side of the stone face with the husband's given name & surname to the right or left. So I guess it's standard for the most part to do so - something like listing on a birth certificate the father's name and the mother's maiden name. Makes it easier to find out a maternal line for sure. Hope this helps. Kathl
