I am the Archivist of the NSW Masonic records. Last week I received a large collection of photographs of students covering a period from about 1945 to 1978, They are mainly of groups and include sports activities but lack any information including names. If anyone on this list is trying to obtain a photograph of a family member they can recognise who was at the schools please contact me.

Hi Peter,
I found it by going to Rootsweb main page > mailing listing > Australia >
NSW-Central
The administrator also maintains a home page for the mailing list that
includes a surname list.
NSW-Central-L@rootsweb.com is the address I think.

My interest is the MILLER family who lived in this area in the 1850's.
Walter was the youngest son of Alexander who brought his three children
(John, Jessy & Walter) to NSW from Scotland on the Lady McNaughton in 1839.
(His wife Elspeth Balmar had died shortly before their departure). They
went to the Bathurst area where John married Alice Prendergast in 1845. I
have very recently discovered that Walter married Charlotte Horsley in the
Parish of Wellington in 1853. Their firstborn was Walter Alexander b
Maureen,
I have an interest in the family of Hanbury Clements, captain of the
"Letitia" which, carrying around 56 emigrants from Ireland, wrecked in a
storm in the Cape Verde Islands on 19 August 1829. The passengers made it to
Aust on other ships, but there is a story to tell as I research all the
passengers and events. Hanbury Clements' wife and (two?) children were on
board and arr. here on the 'Jupiter" on 22.2.1829. I then lose them. I
believe a daughter married a Woodriff, landholder at Evan (Penrith)
Hi Maureen,
Sure is a challenge, eh? I have connections with the Clements and the Hynds
families too. My Edward RIDLEY
married Fanny CLEMENTS and my Charlotte RADBURN married Andrew HYNDS (Jnr) .
I have a copy of the Blayney Shire Pioneer Register and it has a lady's name
who is researching the LUCKs.
If you would like I will send you her name and address off list.
Maybe that might help. I also have the Neville and Districts Cemetaries
book.....an excellent publication available from the Cowra and Distric
Hello Patrick,
Royal Atkins is my wife's GG Grand Father.
I believe he was born n Coventry in 1815 and was baptised on 20 Mar 1815 at
St.Michael's, Coventry. His parents were Joseph and Mary Atkins. That is about
all we know at this stage. I have sourced this information from the Blayney
Shire Pioneer Register published 1993 (pp 6-7).
Bridget Flood was the daughter of James Flood and Catherine Morrissey and we
were able to locate her grave at the Carcoar Cemetery.
My wife is descended from their 6th ch
Hello List,
Can some one help with a look up ,or an idea please.
I am seeking a birth for a Harriett Amelia King.
Her birth year taken from one of her youngest children Birth Certificates was in 1867 Bathurst.
She was also called Harriett Francis King.
Searching the Registrar in Sydney BDM I have not been successful at all; hence I thought
perhaps it may have been recorded in Bathurst , and over looked to be recorded in the main
State Register.
Thank you.

I have a relative by the name of Royal Atkins whom I have traced to the
Bathurst area. He married Bridget Flood in Bathurst in 1855. I do not know
any information prior to 1855. Could anybody assist with information as all
my enquiries have yielded nothing.
Any assistance or information greatly appreciated.

Hello List,
I am wanting to find an Anglican or Catholic Church Birth registration in Bathurst between 1883 and 1867
for a Harriett Amelia King. Parents John King and Elizabeth J. Edwards.
She birth was not recorded in the BDM registrar for NSW, so I am now following up information from her
marriage certificate.
Is there a web site which would list such churches in Bathurst or any other local venue I could contact.
Thank you.

Hi Dorothy,
I just checked out the Wellington Cemetery Transcriptions of Headstones at the webaddress below. Here are some Millers that I found that I thought you might be interested in. I only checked the general cemetery in Wellington. There are other cemeteries in the area that are also worth checking. They are also on-line at www.interment.net
I hope that this helps you.

Hi everyone, I have been doing a lot of research on two sisters Kathleen
Gladys and Ellen Agnes Luck born respectively 1897 and 1900 at Woodstock
(Gallymont as per Kathleens wedding certificate). They were the
daughters of George Luck and Amelia Jane Doyle who were supposed to have
married at Temora prior to the births of these two sisters. The trouble
is that neither their births or the marriage appears to have been
registered. Families associated with these people are Coates, Clements
and Hinds/Hynds f
Hello Anne
Thank you very much for your help. I stumbled onto the Cemetery Records of
Molong several weeks ago and found a Jessie Elspethe MILLER, died 8/7/1869 d
Walter & Charlotte of Mumbal and that is what got me started. I will check
out the Wellington Cemetery records you told me about and should make a
connection with some of them. I do not know enough of the family yet to
check on who the children may have married but will do so as soon as I get
some time.
Many thanks again, and I will subscribe
Hi Dorothy
Mumbil is a small village between Wellington and Orange. these days it is

I have the book ' The Winds of Change" A social History of Mumbil,
Burrendong, Fashions Mount, Stockyard Creek, Oakey Creek and Cudgegong
River. The book includes information about pioneering families etc.
I couldn't find any mention of the Miller Family. Did any of the children
marry in the area? Maybe they married into families that are mentioned.
Did any of the family die
