3. New cemetery on line: Washoe City, Washoe, Nevada [0.989371]
I've just posted a new page of photos taken by Bob and Lois Berrington of the Washoe City Cemetery. This cemetery, located near the site of the original Washoe City, is all but abandoned. It is right off the Highway 395 between Reno and Carson City, Nevada. This cemetery was last surveyed in 1958 and since that time, some stones have been lost, and some new ones have appeared. Many thanks to Bob and Lois for their tireless efforts in bringing these pictures to the public. The main tombstone page is at:
4. Gold Hill Families [0.989371]

Since today is my birthday I thought I might write a little story and introduce myself. I was born about this time of day seventy years ago, 1935. My father delivered me at home. I'm sure he had a lot of help, because both grandmothers were there also. My mothers mother had probably come to Gold Hill to take care of my mother who had, with my father, a head on collision with anoth
5. Re Gold Hill families [0.989371]
Hi! Cliff, The list has been quiet. Welcome! Thank you for sharing your very interesting family history. I'm always amazed at how folks travelled so extensively in 1800s. Do some of your surnames have Cornish connections? Thanks, Heather
6. Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services Cemetery, Sparks, Nevada [0.989371]
In the 1880s, the Mental Health hospital/center was established in Sparks, Nevada, a community right next to Reno, Washoe, Nevada. The institute had its own cemetery and thanks to Bob Berrington, who did a lot of ground work and investigating and making contacts, we are now able to post the new cemetery page. As you can see by the pictures, the cemetery has long been ignored and only a few graves are identified today. Hopefully, through more work and cooperation from the officials at the Mental Health In
7. New cemetery photos: Lincoln County and Storey County, Nevada [0.989371]
I have posted two new cemetery photo pages as follows: Lincoln County, Nevada: Pat Scott stopped by the small cemetery in Rachel, Nevada (near the infamous Area 51) and snapped a couple of pictures in that cemetery, including one of a memorial to the town's namesake, Rachel Jones. There is only about 4-5 more interments in that cemetery, so hopefully a volunteer will send in the rest of the pictures. Many thanks,Pat http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/Nevada/county_pages/linccem.html Gold Hill, Storey C
