If you belong to NY Irish or American Irish, both have lookup volunteers
and many of the censuses are included in the service.

I have received some photos from a family album that originally belonged to
Julia BOYEA and Philip FREGOE of the Raquette area in Massena, NY.. Many are
tin types. On the back, the photographer is listed as W. H. WEBER, Pitt St.
Cornwall, Ontario. I was wondering if any records exist of this
photographer? I am interested in knowing if one of the pictures is of my
great grandmother, Ellen ( Marie-Helene) Fregoe. If so, the photos would
have been taken prior to 1880.

Hi List:
It's not possible for me to attand a library to read a micro film...I am
hopeful that SKS would do a lookup in the 1870/1 census for New York
City for me. I am desperate to find the family of a Michael O'Shea, wife
unknown, who lived at that time in Kings County (Brooklyn) There should
be a child listed in that family named John, or John F. or John Francis,
aged 1 or 2 years old. Any help or direction is appreciated. Thanks.

I've located a Josiah Brentnell age 43 and wife Ann J. ? age 41 in 1850
Census and one later census for Onondaga Syracuse 3rd Ward. Unable to locate
names elsewhere in LDS database and one good lead on message board has old,
invalid e-mail address. The later census identifies occupation as hotel
keeper? Any suggestions on where else I can try to get more info on these
two. I'm in Northern Ontario and unlikely to make a trip to New York to
check sources on my own so any kindly acts would be appreciated.
