John, I've tried several resources, including the NY Times, and I can find
no mention of Zebroski or Berghamer. I was hoping to find a marriage
announcement. RAOGK has some Queens volunteers, but none mention looking up
marriage records. You could check them periodically in case some new
volunteer might sign up. www.raogk.org
I think your only other recourse would be a marriage record search through
the borough of Queens. The initial one-year search would cost $10.00 US,
and each additional year
Thanks, Barb. Terry

Hi Guys,
Bave you tried various spellings for these surnames, beside Soundex?
ZEBROSKI
...try ZEBROWSKI, ZEBROSKY, ZEBROSKE, ZE*ROSK*> Play with it.
My instinct s to insert a "W" or "M" after the "O"...sounds more like names
I've seen.
======
BERGHAMER
...try BERGHAMMER, BERGHAEMER, BURGHAMER, BOURGHAMER
Play with those vowels; especially with German sounding surnames add the old
double vowels...

thank you for the information. The only address that I have is for Grace B
Zebroski's Parents.That is 136 West 91 Street, and the 1939 Census shows
them living there as Charles and Grace Berghamer with Daughter Grace.

I found one of my family members in the 1864 birth index and would now
like to order his official birth record. Can anyone tell me how to do
that? I did it many years ago with other family members and had to get
an international money order. Will I still have to do that or can I now
send a check? Also, is there a specific form I have to fill out? Where
do I get it?
Thanks!

Hello again NY-Irish Listers
I'm trying to find some information on a John Zebroski, of Jackson Heights, Queens, NY. Born 1912 and died 1986. His wife Grace B Zebroski (Nee Berghamer) Born 1910 and Died1995. What I would like to know is their marriage date, which must be after 1937 as they do not appear on the Italian database of Brides and grooms. Also if any children were born to them. Maybe someone out there has access to ancestry.com and could oblige me with any information they may find. The connectio

I was surpirsed today when I learned that Calvary Cemetery's prices for
interment lists increased since I last ordered any. The charge is $60. for the
first name, and $5. each for each additional name. Some of those big Irish
families have ten in one grave. So, folks if you plan to purchase any, the
Archdiocese of New York may raises prices again, any time.
In my research, interment lists are invaluable. There is no equivalent. They
provide the deceased's name, date of burial, and place of birth.
Hello, sorry I also do not have access to Ancestry.com but I do know Jackson Heights. What area of Jackson Heights did they come from? Also the surname Bell is a common one in the North of Ireland. Kathleen

I would like to find out what counties the following cities are in and
where I can obtain a census for 1920 from someone who has a

I am trying to find someone who "may" have lived in Hornell or Cornell

The person would be step brother to my Father. My Father died in 1966
and since this person was at least 5-10 years older is dead also,
since late 1939 or 1940. But I am hoping thru the census I might find
