Nora,
I have your obit for Dennis Blaine. If it's ok to email to you directly, I
will scan it and sent it as an attachment.

Does anyone on the list have access to Hudson-Mohawk Genealogical and Family
Memoirs by Cuyler Reynolds? I believe it is 4 volumes.
I am searching for information on three surnames listed:
Ireland
Gardner/Gardiner
Seeley
Judy
There were no Allards, or andersons in that time period and any other time
with those names. There were an Esther & an Otto Anderson but from the
'20's &40's. No Allards married to Anderson. Sorry
Barbara De Mase
If the James with wife Ellen is yours could you please contact me off list?
He is my g-g-grandfather.
Thanks

Do you have a full date on the death of Dennis Blaine for an obit lookup?

Before you order the rolls, I can try and find them on a subscription that I
have. Pat

Nora: You may want to write to the Ancient Order Of Hibernians. Their last
known address was on Quail St. in Albany and see if his name is in their
Archives. My mother was President for about 4 yrs but has passed away 3 yrs
ago so I won't be of any help. If they can't help you let me know. I still
have several contacts of mem bers. Good luck

Linda Census at the Federal Level go back to 1790. There are several websites
that include them. Guessing that your folks came between 1850 and 1900 you
may find them for free on FamilySearch.org which is the LDS site. If not give us
the names and approximate birth dates and I am sure someone on the list may
be able to find them. Census data available up to 1930. It was taken every ten
years. State census' were taken on the off 5 years and also may be available.
Have you checked the Eliis Island site
Can anyone tell me where or what Crescent Station was? The Watervliet section of the 1894-95 Troy City Directory lists my great grandmother, Barbara Cady, widow of William, as "removed to Crescent Station". This is the last mention of her that I have been able to find, so any leads will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I have a first edition set that belonged to my grandfather. These surnames appear in these volumes as follows:
Ireland - Volume II pages 887 and 888
Gardner - Volume I page 482
Volume III page 1270
Volume IV pages 1662 and 1703
Gardiner - Volume I page 99
Seeley - Volume II pages 920 and 921
It was mentioned that the first two volumes of the set have been almost completed transcribed on the Schenectady County Library website. I will be glad to try to answer your questions t
I don't know if this will help but I have 2 volumes of all the Marriages at
St. Joseph's Church in Cohoes, N.Y and if you would send me the names that
you are looking for and the possible dates, I would do a lookup. Was this a
Catholic marriage?
You can get marriages from the N.Y.S. Archives in Albany but if you can't
look it up personally while visiting there, it now takes months and costs
$22 for every record that you request so your best bet is getting it from
the parish if you know it.
Barbar
First take a look at the Schenectady County Public Library web site and look for their local history section. Bob Sullivan has posted the first volume and is preparing the succeeding volumes. Although it's early days in the massive project, you might be lucky.

There seems to be a lot on Ancestry.com for the Borsts in Schoharie. What
are you looking for? They are not in my tree but I can do a look up. Pat

I am interested in the Edward's family.Martin and wife and Benjamin and wife
and John and wife and Peter and wife. These are my sticklers. Martin is my
direct line but the other males seem to be cousins or possibly brothers . I
am trying to locate Martin's father and mother.Land records are not helping
at all.

I think Crescent still IS. I lived in the area and never heard of it. It is
in Albany County and I found it on mapquest.com Check out this link
www.newyorkerslinks.com/cities/crescent-station.htm It is not to be confused
with Crescent which is a town just north of there in Saratoga County. Good
luck. Pat
Hello, Shelton,
It has been my experience that the city of Cohoes now gives a modern typed copy of vital records, which is unsatisfactory to m. I'll expound if anyone asks.
If you know the church, you might be able to get friendly service from the church office.
You don't say the year. The following applies after 1881, which is when NYS Dept of Health vital records reporting began.
My recommendation is to consult the NYS DOH vital records indexes at the NYS Archives Reading Room in Albany
Thanks but that was the first contact I made. Their archive don't go back
as far as 1975. They referred me to the Albany library.

Try the archives of the Albany Times Union Newspaper. They probably will
provide the obit for a fee.
In need of a volunteer who lives in Albany to go over and look up a couple of death certificates at the Vital Records Library, please. We just made a 4 hour trip last Friday only to find that they were closed for the week, due to a move from 3rd floor to 11th floor. Don't know when we'd be able to get back, especially with winter coming on. Appreciate any help you can give, thanks.
Please email me for particulars at sph221@stny.rr.com
Again thanks, Sarah
I have four census film numbers from the Albany census 1870, and its just what Ive been waiting for. How do I go about obtaining the film, or seeing the Images. Thank You. Linda Dougan Corry PA
