The parents of Ida Mae Perry may be Reuben and Angeline Bird Perry. I know
that Ida Mae Perry lived in Allegheny County in 1907 but for how long I
have no idea.
You are right, it is better to err on the side of caution, BUT we should
check the lists of hoaxes before sending the messages on to the rootsweb
lists as the hoax messages take up space to archive and store, use up the
time of people who feel compelled to carefully check them out, and get
others who may not by experienced computer users and know about all the
hoaxes needlessly worried.

RE: Rochester NYS Index to Marriage, Deaths, Births
Their indexes are the same as in Albany. They have 1881-1950. I was there
yesterday using their system which is extremely easy and the people are
wonderfu. They have a notebook with the numbers of what is in each
microfilm and then you give them the number you need, they take a form of
identification and put it in a folder which is put under the microfilm you
have. You can only get one microfilm at a time. Each time you take one

Dear Cathy Camp,
Thanks for the Sand Man data! I see the name Camp and my pulse quickens. I
recently learned that my ancestor, James Wisner, was given guardinship of an
"infant" about 4 years old, name MILES CAMP, son of MILES CAMP, in Onondaga
Co., NY about 1809.
Do you possibly know that name? I know there were Camps in CT and even a
Camp/Coe line. I am curious about that line also, as James would have been
the husband of the grandmother of Ruth (Coe) Carpenter (assuming that info.
correct).
