I am helping a fellow genealogist with her HAIGHT/ HAUSBROUCK ancestors.
I'm hoping that the Haight Cemetery in Millbrook may provide some clues
as we have not been successful in our search thus far... We know for a
fact that Tryphene Hausbrouck-Haight lived in Highland, Ulster Co.
(across the river from Poughkeepsie) from abt. 1840-45 through c1905 in
what has been described as an historic home. She married a Haight (given

Phyllis,
I would bet that your Doles would be in the Pok Rural Cemetery. The cemetery
is huge. It began in the late 1850's. Many of the smaller church yards
were transplanted to this cemetery as Poughkeepsie grew and real estate
got tight. I know of two cemeteries left in the CITY of pok (Freer Cemetery
and the newer Evergreen Catholic graveyard). The Rura

Whaley Duncan d. 4.3.1894 age 62 yrs 11 mos 2 days.
All of the above lived in or near Hartsvillage(now Millbrook), Dutchess and
are buried at Mechanic Cemetery in Millbrook. Does this help anyone?

I don't know if my first E-mail went through so here it is again. Isaac
Wilcox Jr. had a run in with the Pawlings Committee of Safety in Dutchness
Co. in 1777 beacuse he knew of some men leaving to join the British. He
was arrested vecause he did not tell. Do you know how he got out of this
fix? Also he was sued in 1798 and lost. Do you know why?
