Perhaps someone can clairify for me whether Lettie's maiden name was Howe or Rowe. Lettie was married to August "Auggie" Traudt and had one child that I know of, Louise (Traudt) Velie Golden. On Aunt Louise's social security application it is difficult to read her mother's maiden name.

The archives here in Albany, NY has a NYS Department of Health vital record index for Births, Marriages and Deaths from all over the state, except NY City.
Once the record is located in the index, it can be ordered directly from the NYS DOH office and sent out in about 5 weeks. Vs. 5 months to a year for a mail order.

The witness at the Uhl wedding named Dr. T. Nelson was probably my relative Dr. Theophilus Nelson of Crum Elbow near Hyde Park. Dr. Nelson is buried in Rhinebeck Cemetery. He died about 1872. I have a picture of Theophilus and his wife.

Joe, I believe that William Humphrey was son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Clare) Humphrey of Jamaica. The will of John Clare of Jamaica 1720 mentioned his dau. Elizabeth. We know when William H. was bp. and DAR Bible XIV gives his dob and those of his children. He died in Beekman, not Clinton, 4 Feb. 1787.
