Or Halifax, Nova Scotia. The National Archives in Toronto has those
records. I found them very complete with respect to ship arrivals.

If anyone was waiting for a reply from me please resend your request.

Do You Yahoo!?
Send your FREE holiday greetings online at Yahoo! Greetings.
Please disregard the 1870 Census Index Look Up request. My mind was in the
wrong year, sorry to have bothered you with it.
What I really need is the 1910 Census Index Look up (some of these people
were not even born in 1870!)
***
I would appreciate a look up for information on the following people in the
1910 Census Index, so I could find then in the actual census.

Hi,
One evening at my FHC Library I was browsing through the alien declarations
and came up with my Great Great Grandfather's declaration to renounce the
Ruler of Germany and his intention to become a U.S. Citizen. My Gr.Gr.
Grandfather SIGNED the form and I asked the people to copy that page for me.
I was very excited as the declaration was made back in 1855, and I have put
the copy of his signature in my family history file for posterity. Just
wanted to share this with you!

I am researching my GGrandfather John Lewis SAUERWINE, SAUERWEIN, SOURWINE he was born Nov. 8, 1846 in Canada West. Moved to Erie, Co. sometime between then and the civil war. He enlisted into Co."E" 10th N.Y. Cavalry, Feb 2, 1864. He married Francis Ann Gattie in 1869. She was the daughter of Joseph and Maria Gattie of Buffalo. Any information would be appreciated. Thank You

Did you notice the 4 bedroom house for $6,200.00? Can not convince anyone
to return to Buffalo when you have 25 inches of snow in one 24 hr period.

Hi Chris and all,
This is a new list and stories of all sorts are welcome. The list owner had
a ton of genealogy to share and stories that are well worth reading.
She just posted on she wrote about being in the Blizzard of '77.

Believe it or not, I don't know! There may be some springs in the area, and
of course, we always have lots of snow melt
>And why the name?
Olmsted's original name was "Gala Water", but most of us remember it as
"Park Lake". Bill Hoyt was a NY State Assemblyman from the area near the
park, and was an untiring advocate for all things Buffalo. When he died,
fairly young, the lakewas renamed in his honor. His son no
Judy;
There are not too many cemeterys in the town of Amherst, but I will list
as many as I can.
Williamsville Cem.-- Main St. Williamsville
Skinnersville Cem-- on the S. Uof B campus
Trinity Luthern -- Trasnsit Rd.
St. Michaels -- Cayuga St.
St. Peter Paul -- Union Rd.
These are the only cemeterys I can think of in the town of Amherst. George
I really get nostalgic watching the news footage being broadcast regarding
the current snow storm! I was born in Buffalo and raised in West Seneca &
Orchard Park. Am now living in San Diego, CA where we get snow in our local
county mountains, but it sure isn't the same!

The names I am researching are:
STARZYNSKI, POLUS, KOWALSKI, JOHNSTONE, GASCHNITZ, WEISS, MONCZYNSKI,
ROBERTSON, SEITZ
Anyone have any of these names in their trees?

But they were surely not within 15 miles of Sheridan Drive! Geary runs off
Seneca St. both ways for a block, out beyond Mineral Springs Rd. Sheridan
Dr. runs east-west through the middle of the Towns of Tonawand anad Amherst.

I bet they would send you 4 feet, that would still leave them 3 feet !!

Maybe you could send 4-5 inches to Wichita, Ks. We haven't had any
measurable precipitation in two months.

Hi Zona,
If I remember correctly (this was eight years ago!) they had alien
declarations listed in blocks of years. I sure hope I am giving you the
correct info.
Hope it helps,
