Hey to you all,
You all are just wonderful. All your suggestions were wonderful!!
It warms the heart to see one's e-mail full of replies.
I try to write each of you a personal thank you, so hope I have not missed
anyone.
It is so wonderful that we all share with each other.
I even heard from someone who use to live in Palatka, small world, huh?

I am trying to find out information on my wifes 3rd Great Grandfather Francis Borden who died in 1887 in Webster, New York.
I found Francis and his wife Maria(Wentworth)Borden on the 1880 census living with William Drake age 60 and his wife Maria age 50.
This is first that we knew that Francis and Maria had a daughter named Maria.
I have written to various cemeteries in Webster trying to find where Francis and Maria are buried with no luck.
I am wondering if anyone might be researching the Drake surname

snooty women who could prove descent from someone who furthered the
cause of Liberty; usually a soldier, but sometimes a member of a state

while; I don't know if they do today. Before 1970 or so their research
standards were lax, too. If you were white, could show up sober to
afternoon meetings and had clean fingern

Hello to Everyone,
First I'm new not only to this list, but also to searching in New York. Since 1985, I've only been searching in PA. I recently found new information that my
grandparents were married in Rochester NY, not Scranton PA..
According to the Rochester city directory 1935-36 it shows my grandparents Haoward and Anna Smith living at 117 Meigs street in Rochester. It also shows my grandfather was in Real Estate.
Can anyone tell me where to write for a marriage certificate?
Would any listmembers have information about Civil War-era hospitals that
might have been located in Rochester? I'm trying to find out if my
g-g-grandfather, Conrad BODENSTEIN -- a soldier from the Civil War -- d. in
hospital either near the end of the war or immediately afterward. I hope to
hear from someone who has knowledge of such a hospital.
Best Regards,
Sally BOLSTER HOLCOMBE

I went there to view their copy of Broderbund CD #188: Index to Griffith's

Rochester area that has it) but found that they have numerous other genealogy
