Mrs. Barbara Herpfer, a resident of Lynbrook, died yesterday, Sunday, April 24, 1938. at her home at 114 Rocklyn Avenue, Lynbrook, following a long illness. Mrs. Herpfer and her family moved from Maspeth to Lynbrook about six years ago. am researching for the family of james roy brinkley. James' son said his father was born in the hills of virginia in 1896, the oldest of 17 children, of which 9 lived to adulthood. James roy brinkley was taken out of school by his step father, at age 10, to work in an iron foundry by the age 16, he had left home to wander around the usa alone.
