I've "rescued" an old photograph of Emily WHEELER which was taken at the DeGroat Studio in Bath, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Emily likely in her teens or early 20's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I believe that this may be a photograph of Emily WHEELER b. 29 Aug 1872 in Urbana, NY to parents Jonas WHEELER and Mary Ann WOOD. In 1870 the family was living in Wayne, NY with census records providing the following information: J.

There is a published census index for Steuben Co. that includes the following years: 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1835, 1840, 1850, 1855, 1860, 1865, 1870, 1875, 1892, 1905, 1915, and 1925. A print-out is available at the Steuben County Clerk's Office in Bath.
