Surname: Fisher
-------------------------
Does anyone know of a Fisher family residing around Smithtown, Sulfolk
Co. c. 1880? Especially interested in Catherine Elizabeth Fisher. Possibly
a brother Charles.
Huntington is more than just a town. It is a section of Suffolk County and
includes both towns and hamlets. This includes Huntington, Northport, East
Northport, Greenlawn, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Dix Hills, Lloyds Neck
Asharoken, Eatons Neck Fort Salonga, and Commack
Have you seen Huntington? It is hardly a hamlet any more.

I have most of the American ancestry of Edward Reeve, (conflicting

Hi Angela, I did not bring the Genealogist's Address Book with me to work

was Robert Keene. Hope this helps. Nancy

The geography of Long Island can be quite confusing, even to current

Hi Barbara,
Thanks for info, "Telephone number for death certificates (if you're a
relative) in Huntington Township is 631 351 3206 and for Albany it is 518
474 3038"
However, there are no "townships" in New York State. Huntington is a town.
There is also the Hamlet of Huntington (often incorrectly referred to as
Huntington Village) in the Town of Huntington.
I'm including after my name a NYS Geographic Glossary with the NYS
definitions of county, city, town, village, hamlet and postal zone.

Ezekiel Scudder, born 1765 in Huntington, Suffolk, NY married Cynthia Gould.
We have her birth year as 1773, but no one in the family has ever been able
to unearth another thing about her. Ezekiel and Cynthia settled in
Randolph, Cattaraugus County, NY and raised 11 children.
Can anyone help with Cynthia's origins?
