Do you have access to trade directories? Southwark Local History library would cover this area of Surrey. Also there is probably an Association, and/or a livery company in the City of London. Poulters (are in poulterers for chickens etc) certainly exist. I'll try a couple of checks and come back to you if I find any more. 4. [OCCUPATIONS] Baston [1]

I received a photo copy of a 1908 marriage record from the county of Bracebridge in Ontario, Canada. I am having trouble reading the occupation of the groom who was from Moose Jaw, Sask. It listes his occupation as a Baston. It could be spelled Bastor, but I don't think it's a Pastor. The first letter looks more like a "B" than a "P". Anyone have an idea what this occupation is?
