2. Re: [OHCEN] 1910 / Montgomery Co. / MEYER, Charles [1]
Lynn, I poked around in the 1900, but didn't see anything with minimal searching. Do you know the name of the second child? Where Charles' parents were born? Where else he may have lived? There are so many bits of information that may be helpful in locating him. You may have better luck. You can search the census for free at a site that has Heritage Quest available at the moment. Give it a try, it's fun to see what you can find. Try different combinations of possibilities to find them. I'll post the s

5. Re: [OHCEN]1880 / Hamilton / O'Brian [1]
Ed, I think that Hamilton Co. has birth records from 1863, but that is only if the birth was recorded. Babies were often born at home with just female family members attending the birth, so the birth wasn't recorded. That was the case for my father-in-law who was b. in 1892 and never did have a birth certificate. In order to apply for SS, he provided a baptism certificate and had two close friends verify that they knew him to be born when he said he was. Marilyn in Ohio -----------------orig
6. Re: [OHCEN] 1840/Butler/Rinehart [1]
Dear Marilyn: Good Evening. Thank you. A member of your team gave me the 1840 census listing for Butler County Ohio, Oxford Township, listing Elisha Mann/Maun 20 - 30 (with female 20 - 30), and stated that Martin Rinehart is listed next door!!??. I do not know where her info came from? There was always an indication that Martin Rinehart had a son named Martin, but I have never found one shred of evidence to prove or disprove; I know all the rest of his children. Bu

8. Re: [OHCEN] 1840 / Portage Co / STITT, John [1]
Hello Lil, I'm not sure I understand what other kind of information you are looking for. There aren't any census records for the in between years, ie, 1838 - 39 and 1841 - 48. The bad news is that not all census images for Portage county have been indexed at ancestry, so your John may be among those missingfilms. Here's the official word from ancestry: << The following rolls of film have not yet been linked to federal census images by Ancestry.com, and thus can not be searched in this linked

12. [OHCEN] 1850/Jackson/Hoffman [1]
I am looking for a listing of a Daniel and/or Elizabeth Hoffman (Huffman) in the 1850 Jackson Co., Ohio census. Elizabeth may have been a widow in 1850 (I do not know when Daniel died). Elizabeth was born in Virginia and would be around 70 years old in 1850. I have no information on Daniel other than he lived in Virginia and was a veteran of the War of 1812. Any assistance with this would greatly be appreciated. Respectfully, Pamela

Bill, Do you know if the family ever moved around and moved back to Ross County? Where is the LAST census that you found him in before he died? Maybe you should start from there and work backwards. 18. Re: [OHCEN] 1910/Hamilton/DREES, Gertrud [1]
Terri, Thank you very much. Great job on finding the second marriage of Frank's wife and the information that Frank had died. I think I have found his death in an obit. index today, so I may eventually be able to find his father's name and search on that. Perhaps the problem with Gertrud is the first name. These folks always had three given names, the third one being the name they were called by. If the enumerator asked for "full name," he might get quite a mouthful, typically, Anna Katharina Gertrud
19. [OHCEN] Thomas Moorman/1860/Allen County [1]
I am looking for Thomas Moorman in Allen County in 1860. He would have been about 50 years of age. He died in 1863, so should have been listed in 1860. At least one child, Jacob, should have been still living at home. The family may have lived in Amanda Township in Allen County. Thanks! Karen

I would appreciate a lookup of Bernard( Barney)Nabor (Nabur,Naber} in the 1900 census . He married either Mary or Margaret Daugherty before 1880. Mary or Margaret -born 1860 or 1854.. They lived in Hamilton and Fairfield Twp . In July 1881 they had a daughter Clara Catherine in Hamilton and in Nov 1882 a son Gerard B was born. Pam -- I did not see a reply to this. Here's mine: I looked through the list of "CARTER, William/Willie/Wm." in Hamilton County & none of them was born in Italy; none of them had a wife named Alice. The only one close in age (34) to your request was born in Ohio with wife named Jennie (34; b: OH). They had 3 children: Florence(14), Jennie(11), and Wilbur(7). Also living in the household were his mother-in-law: Mary S. Giffin(76) and his mother: Lizzie Carter(73) ... Carter, William Lived in:
24. [OHCEN] OHCEN] Reply: 1850/Unknown/KEEFER [1]
Hi Rose, Thank you for taking the time to look for this family. I don't think this was the right family, but then I'm not sure. I do know that they had a daughter named Utica b. in PA. I find her in the 1860 census of OH with her husband, John Shutt. But I cannot find her in a census before then. I thought maybe the family was in OH by 1860, I had responses to an 1850 PA request but just an index fo John Keefers. I do not know too much about this family. I am hoping the census will help me out
