Judy, I have a researcher in Washington DC that I (and many other Rootsweb folks) have used for several years now. He is excellent. I am out of town at the moment so can send you his contact information next week when I return. His turn around time is fast (2-3 weeks), his fees are very reasonable (average of $15 per pension or service file), he is thorough (if he sees anything else on your person, even if you didn't ask for it, he will let you know), and he is very dependable. He went home in the Spring to plant the fields and home again in the Fall to help with harvest. Sometimes his wife became ill and died and he went home to take care of his kids or farm them out to relatives and friends. Jocelyn in Ohio
