Hi all:
I am in the process of making a trip to St. John's &
St. Joseph's Cemeteries, on Woodland Ave. in
Cleveland.
Anyone on the list have any specific or general
suggestions for personal safety, parking, gate
entrance preferences, etc, for these cemeteries? They
are in a very poor part of Cleveland.
Also, does anyone need a photograph taken in either
cemetery? Depending on how things go, I may be able to
help out with that when I go. I would need specific
plot/grave locations. I do have maps for both.
I would also like to thank Michelle for all her good work, having personally
benefited from it :)
Now, a request for someone familiar with West Park Cemetery...I am looking
for anyone named DEJEAN at West Park. Specifically, I'm hoping to find Aaron
DEJEAN and his mother Mary or Marie DEJEAN. Aaron died sometime after 1910
and Mary sometime after 1870.
I'm pretty sure there are other DEJEANs at West Park, namely Aaron's father
Andrew DEJEAN (died 1913), and Andrew's second wife Phillipina (died 193
Hello list. Hoping somebody can help me with this request. On November 7,
I wrote a letter to above cemetery at 1615 E. 118th St., Cleveland. Sent a
check for $10 and SASE, but have had no answer. I followed up on Nov. 30
writing to the City of East Cleveland at 14340 Euclid Ave., and still no
reply.
Ebenezer Roberts died 14 Dec. 1914 and buried 16 Dec. 1914 this cemetery.
His wife Mary died before the 1900 census, but I have no infomation on her.
My request was cemetery record information for Mary and
Michelle,
Thank you for taking on this list. I know we all

Hi Michelle and List Members
I have been trying to research my paternal line of CRESSEY in Ohio for years
without much success; therefore, I am interested in "all" CRESSEY deaths and
burials in and around Cuyahoga County, OH.
My gr-gr-grandfather was Orange John CRESSEY b05 Mar 1823 somewhere in Ohio.
He married Laney CROUSE on 10 Jan 1855 in Columbus, Franklin, OH
(mar.certif.gives no further clues) but a child was born to Orange John
CRESSEY on 22 June 1853 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH which means that Oran
Hi everyone! I didn't realize this list would generate so many
subscribers but it has and I would like to say WELCOME to everyone. I
am very much open to suggestions on how to make this a great list.
It was pointed to me to have the list description as the following:
"OH-CLEVE-CEMETERIES. A mailing list for anyone who desires
lookups or other information on people buried in Cleveland, Ohio,
cemeteries as well as those willing to provide lookup services."
The reason I created this list is because so many

If there is anyone about who may be doing research in Monroe Cemetery,
perhaps after the snows, I would like to hire them for some grave searching
and photography.

I recently uncovered the migration path of part of our tribe. The family
had mostly lived in Seneca Co, OH, but a few left without a forwarding
address (why didn't they know I'd be interested 120 years later), but I
managed to chase them down in Akron, OH. Of course, the mystery doesn't
end there. I have obits from the Akron newspaper that tells of cremation
and burial in Highland Park Cemetery in Cleveland, but funeral services held
in Akron. What I'd like to know is who else is buried close by or in
Hello Michelle et al,
My gr-gr-grandparents, August and Catherine (Dell) Schuster, lived in
Cleveland in the 1840's. Their first child, Mary Augusta, was born there on
6 Oct. 1844. I believe that she died in Cleveland sometime before 1850. I am
attempting to find the cemetery in which she was buried. The rest of the
family moved to Medina County, so no others, as far as I know, are buried in
Cleveland. On the chance that her grave can be found, I would appreciate
someone who has access to the cemete
