Henry Howe did a tour of Ohio in 1846 and then went back and did another tour in 1888. The book is full of anecdotes, some biographies and very little genealogies. 12. Re: "Howe's Historical Collections of Ohio, Vol. II [1]
There are 2 volumes that cover a trip that Henry Howe made in 1846 and another one in 1888, and so compared it with the first. The names with a ??? in front are last names mentioned with no first name. The book has history, biography and description of the land with very few genealogies. There is no index. That's why when I look for a name in a county, I write every name down and then post them, so I don't have to look through the whole chapter again to look for another name. Lori wrote: > > --- Rita
