I noticed no one has volunteered for Meigs Twp. 1850 or 1870
census. I have the ACGS transcription of both of these censuses.
I submitted the form that I would be willing to do look-ups for
these, but I'm not confident my submission transmitted. Let me know.

It's of little importance to few-but me, but there is 1 Ky yet un-named
as across the Ohio from Adams,Clermont, and Brown Co,Oh. Named, east to
west have been Lewis, formed 1806 from the next west,Mason Co.Ky. Next
west ,formed from Mason Co about 1798 is Bracken. Campbell Co,Ky's
1st courthouse abt 1798,was across from Cincinnati, and it runs up-river
to oppisite Pt Pleasant,Clermont,Oh.
The forgotten county is Pendleton, from Campbell [AND BRACKEN?] about
1800. It only fronts on the Ohio River 4-5 mile
Do you have anything on Browns in Harveysburg, Warren, CO. I understand
that was a stop on the underground railroad. My grandmother Josie Brown was
raised by an Uncle Ed and Aunt Jane Brown.

I am searching for information on the following families in Adams County:
Verax (descendants of Edmond), Hitter (descendants of Henry or Carrie),
Thornton (descendants of Elizabeth Ann Verax Thornton).
If you are a member of one of these families, please contact me. If you know
someone who is part of these families, please pass this message on to them.
Thank you.

I hope this is appropriate for the mail list. If not, I apologize and please
send me a personal e-mail message instead of posting to the mailing list.
Can anyone tell me how to send a GEDCOM file that would only include one
family line? I have a large data base of names with both my husband's line
and mine combined. I do not want to include the entire database with all the
family lines--just one family name. I want to make sure that I send the
GEDCOM properly.
Also, what is your opinion of

Dear Adams County Friends:
We've hit a brick wall regarding researching my g-g-grandfather. His name
was Edmond Veredic Verax, and he lived in Green Township, Adams County, Ohio
from 1876 until 1894 when he died.
I have been given a copy of his obituary from the newspaper. However, it
does not list a funeral home or church, just that that the services were
conducted by a Rev. Wm. M. Shively. Where on earth would I search for a copy
of his death record? We know nothing of Edmond's past (parents' nam
Anyone have any info on Rev. Wm. M. Shively? His name was listed in the
newspaper obituary as the clergy who conducted my g-g-grandfather's funeral
in October 1894 in Green Township, Adams County, Ohio. G-g-grandfather was
Catholic, but don't know if Rev. Shively was a Catholic priest or other
religious clergyman.
Thanks. And Happy New Year!!!

Hello ,
I have an old Genealogy on my Bradford ancestry that was done over
10 yrs.ago. There were 3 Genealogists involved, and it apparently wasn`t
resolved whether there was a connection with my Bradford ancestry to
Gov.William Bradford (1589-90~5-19-1657) or not.
(Briefly: He came from Amsterdam Holland on the Mayflower to
Plymouth,Mass.)
If anyone is familiar with the Gov.William Bradford line of
ancestry.....
I could certainly use your help.I have alot of the history on this line
as
far as names,
Lewis, Mason and Bracken Counties in KY.

Hi Ray,
To get off line a bit, do you by any chance have the siblings for Lydia
Brann? I have gotten no leads from my inqueries on census, marriages,
births, etc. Am looking for Charles Edward Brann b.Jan. 15, 1838 in
Adams Co. He married Emila Patterson from NY and had at least one
child, Kathryn Belle Brann b.Feb 8, 1882 in Tranquility, Adams Co. Ohio.
Thnx,
melissa

Thank you very much for this information. This may help me make some
breakthroughs. I had been looking for the ancestors of my Adams Co. in PA
only, and maybe I should pay some attention to the shifting state and colony
lines.

HI MARYANN, SAW YOUR MESSAGE IN THE ADAMS CO LIST.
I DON'T THINK WM SHIVELEY WAS CATHOLIC...BUT UP TO A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO
THERE WAS A SHIVELY MINISTER AT SUNSHINE RIDGE CHURCH...PROBABLY SON OR
GRANDSON OF YOUR REV. SHIVELEY, AS I'M PRETTY SURE SHIVELEYS HAVE HAD SEVERAL
MINISTERS IN THEIR FAMILIES. MY COUSIN GOES TO THAT CHURCH OFTEN...IF YOU
WOULD LIKE I CAN WRITE HER AND ASK IF HE IS STILL PASTOR THERE....AND IF YOU
ARE THE PERSON, WHO A FEW DAYS AGO, REQUESTED INFORMATION CONCERNING WHERE
Unfortunately NO Spicey. I have no Dement/Demint or Hurd/Heard in my
