I'm not sure which petition you are asking about. Benjamin Wallingford

the
inhabitants of Limestone. However, I think this is not Benjamin
Wallingford

Hi Carl,
I was wondering if the writing on the tombstone you mentioned is still
legible?
I know that there is a process where broken tombstones can be glued back
together. I believe it's an epoxy of some sort. I've seen the results, and
it works.
E-mail me directly if you're interested, and I'll see if I can get some more
information.

Hi Joanne,
I can't help you with the Smith's, that's my married name and my husband's
family is all from PA. They never left there once they landed on dry land in
the late 1600's.
For the Crawfords:
First of all I recommend that you try and find the following book, "The
Crawfords of Adams County, OH" by H. Margaret Crawford PhD. The updated
version was printed in 1976 in Poughkeepsie, NY No publisher's name. I think
it was Self Published. There is an earlier version by her printed I think in
the 1940's.
I don't know anything about "Stout's Run" but I am descended from a STOUT
family who came to Adams Co. My direct ancestor was Leah STOUT, who married
Isaac Wamsley, Sr. They came from NJ and were early settlers in Adams Co.
I got most of my information about the STOUT family from 2 sources: "The
History of the Stout Family" by Nathan Stout, written in 1823 and reprinted
and published by Geo. A. Chandler in 1929, and "Stout of Monmouth County" in
"Historical and Genealogical Miscellany: Early Settlers of
I am looking for information on my gg-father, Francis M. (Frank) Eubanks,
born cir 1837 in KY according to census records. He married Nancy Arnett in
1860 in Nicholas County, Ky and their first son George N. was born cir 1862
in KY. Their second son James was born cir 1865 in OH, so they must have
moved to Ohio between 1862 and 1865. Frank married his second wife, Anna
Elizabeth Paris around 1870. They are listed in the 1880 and 1900 census in
Adams County, OH.

Hello. I am looking for the ancestry of my ggg-grandmother Levinah Louise
Stewart. She was born 20 Feb 1794 in KY, died 21 Feb 1868 in Byrd Twp., Brown
Co., OH, and was buried in West/Evans Cem, Byrd Twp. She married John West 16
Jan 1817 in Adams Co., OH. They had all their children in Byrd Twp., Brown
Co., OH. Any information would be wonderful. Thank you.

Hello:

the Adams County Genealogical Society, and written to about every place where I can obtain information as to where my ggrand-
mother Martarilly Long Bailey Price (wife of John S. Price) both born 1818, are buried, Martarilly was still shown on the 1900 Jefferson County Twp. living with her daughter Nancy Hudson and two grandchildren, she died about February 5, 1908. She was t
Mark,
There is an Atlas dated 1797-1880 for Adams County. I don't know if this
helps. It is also sold by the Sycamore Chapter DAR at the Library, but
theirs not many left. They cost $32.50 plus $1.95 tax if you live in Ohio &
also postage of $4.00.
