Johann George REINHARDT was bn 16 Aug 1787 in the Alsaace-Lorraine area of Germany and died 16 Aug 1869 in McZena, Ashland County his wife Katharina SCHMITT was bn 2 Dec 1801 in the same area and died 25 Apr 1891 in McZena The children we definetly know about are Barbara bn 24 Aug 1833 married to John Kantzer George bn 1828 died 1863 in Ashland County Phillip bn 1837 died 1858 in Ashland County Johann George is supposedly the son of Zacharia

My Surnames are: Summerton, Iddings, Lyon, Bonewit, Briggs My Summerton's migrated from MA, to New York then to Wayne and, Ashland Counties in OH. My elusive ancestor is my grandfather Charles Summerton married Marian Iddings Charles supposedly son of Taber and Elizabeth Kuffel of Wayne County, Marian daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah Lyon Iddings of Ruggles, OH. Charles died in the 1940's in Cleveland, Oh, we have been unable to find where in Ashland or Wayne County he was buried. Also checked Wayne County

Hi list, Here is a long shot at finding a lost relative. I am searching for a boy who was nicknamed "Buzzy". Buzzy was born about 1937 - 39 probably in Ohio. His father is unknown and his mother was Pauline Weikal. He lived in California with his mother until 1943 and was then sent to live with his paternal grandparents somewhere in Ohio. The Smeltzers of Milton Township, now in Ashland County Ohio are not my direct line, but I spent several years studying the migration and their relations. Michael Schmelzer (1798-1876) is the son of Philip (1764-about 1830) and related to my direct line through Philip's brother George. This is the Schmelzer (Smeltzer) family of Windsor and Chanceford "Fishing Creek" in York County PA. My ancestor, Charles Wheeler, probably did see the Ohio territory in the War of 1812, as Florence suggested. We're not sure when he settled there, but married Hestor DeFord ca. 1825. They had six children when they moved to Fulton Co., Il. There one more child was born, after which Hestor died.
