Hi Everyone.
Would someone have cemetery book for Ashland county and would they look to
see if my gggrandmother is listed. It might be a cemetery near the Holmes
county line.
Her name was Elizabeth Scholes/Scoles and she died around 1833 in Ashland
County.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Looking for information on James and Phoebe (Tilton) Campbell. James and
Phoebe married on 16 November, 1815, in Wayne County, Ohio. James, born 2
October; 1793, died 20 April 1882; buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashland
County. Phoebe, born ca. 1794, Washington County, PA; died after 1880.
Phoebe's parents were John and Mary (Sutphin) Tilton, both of whom are buried
in Nankin Cemetery, Orange Township, Ashland County. Am searching for anyone
else researching the Campbell family.

Hi Scott,
There are no records of John HUGHES married to Rachel Rebecca VAN SCOYOC.
Marriage records for the Ashland County Marriage records index start in 1867.
Have you tried the book "Early Ohio Marriages"? Don't have the book in
front of me, so don't know who wrote it, but there is a copy at the Ashland
County library and the OGS.
Sorry,
Nancy
I suppose I will get in trouble for sending all of this, but I don't know
how to help this woman!!!
Can someone out there help her? She can send messages to me, but gets back
messages
she is sending to the list. She has asked me to send this on to you,
hoping someone can help her.
You will have to scroll down to read what her problem is. Thanks for any
help!
Nancy
P.S. Am also sending to "Maggie's list" in hopes of finding some help.

Hi Nancy, I got an e-mail from you on 6/16 stating you found the marriage
certificate for Joanna ANDREWS and Geroge REINHARDT. But had not found a
birth certificate for Joanna ANDREWS and would try one more time to go
through CH..
I don't know if you got my reply about the certificate costs. Please send me
both copies (certified and non-certified) for $3.00.
Also, do you think you can find anything for Jacob REINHARDT, grandfather of
George? He is buried at Loudonville Cemetery in Hanover Twp. T
Hi Ms. Amon,
Will get to this as soon as I can.
Cheers,
Nancy
Nancy,
Saw your post (below) and was wondering if I could impose on you to check
out some information regarding deaths of my husband's ancestors for me?
I am trying to locate the death of Eminda (or Ida M.) Edwards Sunday, wife
of Harrison Andrew Sunday. She was born about 1842, supposedly lived her
entire life in Ashland Co., but I can't locate death information or where
she's buried.
Also, her husband, Harrison Andrew Sunday d. 21 Dec. 19
I am trying to find more information on someone that might be my ggg
grandfather. The 1850 census for Sullivan Twp., Ashland Co., Ohio lists him
and his wife as:
John I. Limer, 87, Male, Farmer, born in Penn
Elisabeth " , 69, Female
Could anyone tell me more about where he might have died or was buried? Any
information about the Limer's would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Nancy,
Hi Mark,
Next time I go to Ashland, I will look. I have been waiting for the gal in
the court house to do some copying for me, so I will be in there sometime
this next week. Richland County has a very good set up for look ups in
birth, death and marriage at the Health Dept. So I will try there also.
Nancy
Maybe you can fill in some blanks for me, maybe not. I am descendant
from Conrad Koder and Julianna Harbaugh, they were married in 1798 in PA

Hi Beverly,
I will look when I go in to pick up your other copies. Sorry it is taking
so long. First I fell to the flu for four days and took me a while to get
over that, then got behind on my chores, then had company from Texas.
Everything has calmed down around here, other than hubby wants to get away
for a few days.
CH is dragging their feet on making the copies. Promised they'd get to them
this next week.
Will let you know.
Cheers,
Nancy

Hi Kathy,
The last 20 names on your list are pre-Ashland County Records. Birth and
Death records start in 1867.
I found it interesting that the last two names you had on this list were
Ruben Landis and Rebecca Ohl. There were Croningers, Landis, and Ohl's
living in Mifflen and Milton Twp. My ggrandmother was a CRONINGER, married
a BURNs, there was a BURNS married to a LANDIS and Phillip CRONINGER raised
Rosena OHL. Her decendant is still living in the Ashland area, a very spry
95 yr old. [my hope is at 9
Hi Carol, will look next time I go to Ashland, which should be sometime
this week.
Some of the people I have been looking for in Perry township have been
found in Wayne County.
In 1846, fractions of Jackson, Perry, Mohican and Lake twps were taken to
form Ashland County.
But your dates don't jive with that, so not sure what to tell you. I'm so
green at this, don't think I'll ever be able to help anyone!!
That's the reason I have been doing the look ups, it's something I can do
to pay back all the help I've
