The probate file of William Bodkin 1793-1872 seems to indicate that he was the father of Jonathan Bodkin 1823-1874 who m. Roseann Doute 1822-1906. William's two youngest sons, Bradley and Shepherd, got the land and were required by the will to pay off the rest of William's (unnamed) children within three years. 1) Were there any Mortality Schedules done for Auglaize County Ohio in the 1898-1900 era? 2) "Foreign death records", meaning those people with Auglaize County residency who DIED elsewhere in OH. Researching the Surnames mentioned. Three brothers imigrated from Germany in the 1830's.One of the brothers (Theodor ) kept the surname Reineke. Another ( Anton) used Roth as did the third,Conrad. Conrad had a son Phillip who changed his name to Rhodes.He married Rosina Hengstler and was murdered in 1863 in Van Buren twp. Shelby cty.Thank-you!

Leila, Some of those years are very difficult to read. Many of the names are faded out, so you might wait and see what the film is like before you offer. I really struggled with them when I had the film. Would someone be willing to look up a newspaper article for me? I am seeking a copy of an article written about my uncle Henry Koehn. Above the article is a picture of him holding his violin. It may have been his obituary. He died in 1954. Some of the oldtimers in St. Marys might remember him. He owned Koehn's Landing and often held barn dances in that community.
