Shari,
I agree with all the names, etc. which have been
reported.
Of note however...there is also a 'Lousia Mowry' at the next residence
(!).
I have found in my searching for relatives, that there was at least
one dupe - the daughter of a family was reported twice - once in her
family, and once with her grandmother - whom she was obviously caring
for. They were not adjacent families however as appears to be the
case here. In any case, there may be a familial link between the
Mowry family
Shari,
I feel I'm pretty good at reading some of these, and
getting better. I'll take a look.

Here's another place for military information. Might have something in

Also, the National archives have all the original Civil War papers if you
get a chance
to research there.

Here's a great site if you're a Civil War buff or interested in
genealogy. It's called The Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System.
This is a huge database filled with information on people who served
during the Civil War.
There's over 5 million names in the database, and it's simple to use.
Submit a query
I checked it on Genealogy.com. Appears to say
Peter, age 25, Prussia
Sarah age 34 Penn
Louisa 14 Penn
Mary C. 10 Oh
Estella 4 Oh
The name was indexed under MOWREY but I don't see an e as it is written on
the image.
Have you looked at the 1870?
If you're having that much trouble wtih Heritage Quest I'd be complaining to
them. They must have used a bad film to do their scanning.

It is between Bay & Ketterville Rd's, it's on the south side and is back in
a woods. The drive to it is in a yard, but the field it go through has been
farmed, so you have to walk to it.

Dear List Members,
I am seeking assistance with locating family members of and information for my materal gg-grandfather George W. Baker born Abt. 1836. I believe that I have found him listed in the 91st Ohio Voluntary Infantry - Company F during the Civil War. He is listed as a Private when he entered the service and when he left. According to the http://www.scioto.org/ Ohio HIstory/Military/CivilWar/91-OVI/91-F.html, he was 30 years old, entered the service on 03 Aug 1862 served three years and unremar
I am able to access Heritage Quest online, but trying to

If someone would be so kind as to help me out, I am
trying to decipher my MOWRY family.
It appears the head of household might be Peter, age 24,
wife Sarah, daughters Louisa and Estella and another
daughter whose name I cannot read.
Any help greatly appreciated, I've been trying to find this
family for about 3 years!

Elm Grove Cemetery is included in the Volume 3, Book 1 Cemetery
Inscriptions Book. Basically the whole book is Elm Grove.

Monday, OK ?? I've never put one of these .PDF files thru my Adobe
tool, and maybe it's time to see what can be done to clean them up.
That really is a bad page. Streaks and all....

I recently received the 4 volumns of Cemetery Inscriptions from Auglaize
Genealogical Society. They're great.
But, does anyone know of an inscription book for Elm Grove Cemetery in St.
Marys that is for sale? I do have a lot of family in Elm Grove.
Thanks,
Betty Engle
Well. I'm in there now, and that third girl *is* difficult. May have
to download and put it into my Adobe phot tool to maybe clean it up.
Right now. I'm trying to get it to re-load at 100%, vice 200% - ought
to ne a tad more manageable at 100...It really is a speckled-up photo
isn't it ??

I am new to your list and resetting the following Neff family. Unfortunately,
I don't know which county in OH they were from, as I can't find them in the
1860 OH census. The information below is gathered from the 1870 and 1880
censuses in Kosciusko County, IN. for the earliest generation.
Emanuel Neff m. Margaret Welter. Their children are:
Jane b. abt. 1856 IN
William b. abt. 1857 OH
Ella or Lucy b. abt. OH
Sophia b. abt. 1861 OH
Henry N. b. abt. 1863 OH
Nelson b. abt. 1864 OH

Thank you very much! One more favor, please....would you
check to see where Peter was born? Looked like maybe
Prussia, but that part was difficult to read also.

It appears like Prussia to me, but would not swear to it. That portion is
also pretty faded on the Ancestry image. The names were extremely clear.
