My G.G'pa was born 1852, so, guessing, I would have to say the pic is about
1872 ??? G.G'pa didn't get married to G.G'ma 'til 1891, so, I can't be
sure...It says on the back, girlfriend from Ohio...G.G'pa was born in Brown
Co.
If someone can show me that they are her family, I'd be happy to send her
home...

I have just updated the Driver Family Historical Society site with 92 new
names on the Driver's who served in the American Civil War page. To find the
information, go to the site, choose, Surnames, -> "D" -> Driver. Then select
the "Military Records" from the Driver Index.
There are records from MA, NY, NJ, PA, IA, IL, OH, KY, VA, GA, NC, TN, FL,

I am trying to find parents' of Thomas KENNEDY, b. abt 1791-96, in VA mar.
Mary_____ b. abt 1805 in OH. I do not know where Thomas was mar. Have
checked marriages for VA, KY and IN. Thomas lived in Huntington Twp, Brown
Co OH at until 1835 when he purchased land in Buck Crk Twp, in Hancock Co IN.
His daughters, all b. in OH, Mary Jane KENNEDY UNDERWOOD, mar. Frederick
HENDRICKS, 1859; Eliza Ann mar. Christpher RULEY, 1846; Sarah mar. George
HUDSON, 1849. All these marriages took place in Hancock C
Too often we forget the data from the War of 1812. I own a copy of the
book of [partial] rosters of Ohio Soldiers by companies, but it is
un-indexed.
Now the book is on-line,and has a search engine. www.ohiohistory.org

"resources" and then " military. " Since I have studied the
book,comparing with
Clermont and Brown Co histories,I know not all companies are listed.
So,at best,you can
prove that somebody "did" serve, but you can not prove that somebody did

I've been reading Bradbury's and HENRY MARIE BRACKENRIDGE's journals of
at trip of the MISSOURI in 1811. Bradbury was with Wilson Price Hunt's
[JJ ASTOR] TRIP OVERLAND TO OREGON. Brackenridge with Manuel Lisa boat
just behind them. Brad-
bury met Daniel Boone,and JOHN COULTHER,who had been on Lewis and Clark's
1803 trip.
The histories of Brown and Clermont Co,Oh give slight mentions to local
men hunting
on the Missouri River about 1812,and also claim Coulther's brother and
father lived in
