Thank you, Dr. Nelson, Yes, that is where we found information in a HANCOCK family file. Thanks for mentioning that it has Regional History. Didn't know that when we went there. Sometimes folks the Regional Collections have resources not found elsewhere, so if you get a chance to check them out maybe you'll unearth something excitingly new. By the way, there was a story that (Capt.) John HANCOCK once settled for a short time on what is the town square of Oxford. Has anyone else heard that story? Audr

17. Re: [OHBUTLER-L] Harrison ,Handley & Leach [1]
Harrison -- sounds like one of those families which, for some inexplicable reason, left N.J. for "the west" in company with people named Clark, Ross, Winans, Woodruff, etc., about that time. I don't have specific help for you, but would be interested in any answer you get that might suggest N.J., and I have been working on some of that migration. Harman Clark P.O. 21. Re: [OHBUTLER-L] Jolliff families [1]
Kathleen -- this may seem "far out", but in your research on Joliff, have you encountered any Zeluff, Zeliff, Zeliph, or Jeleph? Some of us are working on those names (and other variations of it), who has a propensity to marry people named Clark. They originated as French immigrants with the Dutch, and also have had surnames such as Ceilo, and Seeley. In any event, I would be interested in what you find. Thanks, Harman Clark -----Original Message----- From: Rizerk To: Butler
