Here's a Buttery who died in Boone Co IN. He may have lived at Colfax
which is in White Co, I think. Margaret Douglas McMullen was previously
married, but I know little about John Buttery. He is buried at the Boone

Hi,
I got a message from the listowners list that CoreComm and Rootsweb think
they have worked out the problems with the bouncing mail.
I hope everyone who's mail was bouncing gets this. You are still on the
list for the most part.
If anyone knows Larry Heltons address, would you let me know. I thought I
had it but can't find it.
Thanks,
Norma

official repository for the Cummins collection. You will need to contact them
for a list of the photographs. They have all been scanned and put on CDs. To
my knowledge, they have the only copies.

I have been able to locate my ggrandparents in the 1900 census. They lived in Overpeck, Butler County.
GEORGE EDWARD OSTENDORF b. 1864 Germany

George came to this country in 1885 according to the census. Clara came in 1891. I have been unable to locate the where whereabouts prior to the 1900 census. Could not locate them again in the 1910 census, but found the living in Detroit, Michigan 1920 census.

Kathy,
There will be somewhere, Probably the Middletown Library, a series of City
directories going back many years. They will answer some of your questions
and give you info to check Census Data, Birth records, etc for some of the
other details you mention

Could someone on the list help me with the 1850 census index. I would like to know if there was a George Marsh in Butler county 1850. I found him on 1830 & 40 but have not gotten the index for 1850 or had the time to get the film & look through it.
Will appreciate hearing if someone has access to the index for the county.

Hello All,
I was hoping someone in Butler Co could help me with a marrige record.
The marrige would have taken place around 1894 and I hope it is in
Butler Co. The groom was Eli K. Miller (b. 1869 in PA) the Bride Mary
O'leary (b. 1876 in OH). I would love to know if this marrige took place
there and what if any info, is on the marrige certificate. Any ideas
whom I would ask or where I could look. I already sent an e-mail to the
county clerk website but they have yet to respond and if someone actully
